Most useful answer on this topic probably.. The best starter language is the one you really want to learn and use later. If you want to make websites you should learn html, css and php. If not than learn c++ or anything else. It all depends on what you wanna do with the language. A language cannot be used for anything so i'd suggest if you wanna do some shit with runescape or w/e than learn java.

You need to want it. Not only because of EO but also for other programs since eoserv will die anyways.

Well, You can't really do much with PHP unless you know HTML to output the text correctly in the browser. I suggest learning some basic HTML not all of itjust enough to know how to place pictures and text into the browser. After that you should check out PHP as it is similar to C/C++

There are so many tutorials out there for it :D w3schools for one is good.

That's uninformed and outright incorrect, like most of your posts.

Actually hollow, any program can do anything depending on their enviroments. Programming languages that are not limited to specified functions, yes those you will not be. C++ is a good language, but there is C, C#, VB, Java, and prolly a hundred more compiler languages.

@Addison, yes they might render web pages differently but they are still somewhat the same. The only problems i have had with CSS is white spaces, and i still found a non-hacky way around it that is compatible in all browsers and even more so, older versions, and the new ones.
