Post #106576 Err, Math Help? lmao

I am new to this Junior High, I was recently in imature Elementry School. And I've never done this paticular math yet until now, it's very difficult and I don't really want to ask how to do it. It's stuff like

(+1) divided thing (-1) = "number".

And things with [ and ] and lot's of negative and positives and ( ) 's.

Can anyone help? I am dumb at this and don't know who to ask :P google didn't help either. Btw I'm in grade eight.

Examples

There were different types of questions similar to this as well, we were using barackets, ['s and ]'s . Hopefully someone will understand whatever type of math this is o.O

Examples

Hmm, ive never really done this before, i put it into a callculator and it makes like no sense?

I get the bottom one. Since their both negative it cancels out, still being 7 as the answer. 63 / 9 = 7

Post #106582 Re: Err, Math Help? lmao

It's complicated xD, I am used to regular dividing and stuff. But it's negative and positive math I think, like + is positive, and - is negative, and negativing a positive would bring it down to around 0 or even to the negative area or something like that o.O

+21 is the same thing as 21.

So what you do is 21 / -7 = -3.

This is algebra i think. Did this back in 6th grade.

Ugh hhhhhmmm alright listen up

A postive + a postive equals a negative

A negative + a postive equals a postive.

Knowing that the problem is simplier to under stand so 21 Divided by -7.

Alright so 21 is a postive and 7 is a negative knowing that we look at our handy little thingy over here

A postive + a postive equals a negative

A negative + a postive equals a postive.

So all we have to do is do 21 divided by 7 normally I suggest a calculator or something
So 21 divided by 7 gave me 3.
Since 21 is a postive and 7 is a negative that means the answer must be a postive.
so our final answer will be 3.

Also on a more personal matter, lolss don't act like a smart ass to me when your in the seventh grade.
