Show your true personality, don't be awkward, and don't worry about messing something up. If your confident, and just talk to her and don't make her feel uncomfortable, i'm sure she'll like you.  The biggest issue here, is over thinking too much, and worrying about if your gonna mess up something. If it's on your mind, your most likely to say something weird, or something that makes her feel uncomfortable, so just don't worry about it. Don't seem desperate to her, get to know her, (be her friend,) then ask her out. Don't wait too long to ask her out or you might miss out:P, and don't care about the outcome. You won't know unless you try.

For conversation help? Just ask her, about her life, her interests/hobbies, share yours with her. Try to focus on her, and "actually listen" to what she says carefully. There's so much you can talk about with a person, no matter how different your personality is compared to hers. You really don't need advice from anyone in my opinion, but this should help if you really do.

Yea. If you guys are friends for too long it gets all awkward. My friend chris has a problem like this, him and this girl have been friends for years and when he finally askes her out she just wants to stay friends because they've been friends for so long.

sorry but i have to say that momslover is a fking tard, i dont believe a guy spending time on a forums gets more pussy than anyone here. wonna know who gets more pussy? ME because i have one, so shut up lol

ok On subject... girls like to talk, so listen, if you cant listen then...meh its off to a bad start, i broke up with my boyfriend reacently because he thought more about going out with his friends and he NEVER takes me out.. and when i tell him what hes doing wrong he cba to listen..so yea me and him are done..

dont EVER settle for "some girl" who likes you, you have to want her too, i got bad experiance from that and one guy i met didnt feel the same way, he fked my head up pretty bad. same goes to you really, carefull she dont mess you around.

be yourself.. if that means being a geek, or romantic anything.. just dont think you can controle her when you got her, your both in the relationship together if she decides to be with you, unlike my ex he used to think it was all Him...

Anyways, what if you barely know the girl, and the things you do know about her you have barely anything in common with her? :/

Eh, I personally use comedy to get closer with the girl. First, just start off with some jokes and see what makes her laugh(some like dirty jokes, some just like cheesy jokes, and there's lots of other types of comedy that make people laugh). It wouldn't hurt to get a few inside jokes going to feel closer with her. Eventually, that'll lead to getting her number. After you get her number, just try to text her and have interesting conversations with the person. You ask her on a date, or just to hang out. Then you actually ask her out after hanging out with her for awhile.

That's pretty much what I've done with my current girlfriend and previous girlfriend. Also, somebody made a good point that to not just go for looks. I do think looks factor in to it, but it should ultimately be about if you enjoy her and just being around her. If she makes you happy, and she is attractive to you(don't worry about what other fags say), then date her.
