It's 4.8GB (with dev tools). I'm downloading it right now. Anybody else wants to try it out, here's a link. I'll be posting my thoughts once its installed. I'm quite excited if I do say so myself.

The Windows Developer Preview is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers. These downloads include prerelease software that may change without notice. The software is provided as is, and you bear the risk of using it. It may not be stable, operate correctly or work the way the final version of the software will. It should not be used in a production environment. The features and functionality in the prerelease software may not appear in the final version. Some product features and functionality may require advanced or additional hardware, or installation of other software.

"It may not be stable" said by someone working for Microsoft sounds like "the software will most likely crash every 0.1 sec"...

I'm reading that as more of their legal obligation to warn you so you can't sue them...

so anyway this is dumb none of you have the technical skill to actually do anything with this otherwise youd focus on something more realistic, like making money off of working on stuff for this. if your good at something never do it for free. thats why i like bartending i am an alcoholic so i know many things and im very good, i get paid alot and i get tons of tips. oh and ive been sober for almost 3 weeks

that same disclaimer has been on every beta version Ive ever seen from MS. usually its pretty damn stable by this point, when its released to see how idiot proff it is

Downloading right now :) hopefully it will work on vpc because i cant find a good size DVD-R or a big enough flash drive :\

My office sent out an email with stuff about windows 8. The guy sending the email said it "seemed to only work on virtualbox" so I'm going to try that before actually spending money on DVDs.

Worked on virtual box perfectly for me :) just make sure you get your 32/64 bit right because i accidentaly got 32 bit and i wasted time downloading the file! :P

That's false. Works perfectly fine for me on both VMWare Fusion and Parallels.
