Retirement.

I've been with this community since it was created five years ago. I was a member of the first EOHax team, alongside Sausage, Addy, Plasmastar, Wolfdog and others who are no longer with us. I was there the day EOSERV became a reality. I was there at every forum thread, every dispute, every server war.

I stepped down from my position as administrator at EOHax when EOSERV took over. I was reinstated as an administrator of EOSERV for a short while, taking over from Sordie, but was forced to remove myself from the role after other issues I was facing began to become a problem for the community. I had planned to remain a member of EOSERV, keeping myself involved in some of the staff decisions and regularly contributed to the forum discussion threads.

However, I knew that if there was ever a day I would no longer be able to do so, or any of issues involving myself would negatively impact the community, I would step aside without question. Unfortunately that day has come.

I hereby have no choice but to remove myself from my day to day involvement with EOSERV. I've met some excellent friends here, and i've had a great time working with our talented staff team. I wish everyone the best with the project and these forums going forward.

I will be open to any questions or contact via Inbox for a short while before making my departure.

Kind Regards,

sblord

Quitting eoserv isn't as easy as it sounds. Or maybe it's just me.... Meh, well I hope you're as weak as I am and still find yourself visiting here from time to time. I'll miss you iMac (I refuse to call you sblord ;])

I'm a computer technician by trade, the internet will be an unavoidable fact of my life, and chances are when I have some of the more difficult tasks ahead out of the way, I will find myself stopping in like Sordie does.

At the moment I want to focus more on the difficult aspects of my career, working on my future job options and continue with my current job until then. I also have my studies to think about, and I want to do well with those. I need to renew my drivers license, save up some extra cash and think about what i'll be doing in the short and long term too.

As you can see, there's a lot to contend with.

So I think this will be for the best, at least for now. It's time to get serious about these issues and make something from them, and given everything that's happened recently it's now or never as far as i'm concerned.
