I have plenty of responsibilities, yet I'm only 17. I'm nowhere close to being an adult.

By responsibilities I mean I have a job, I have to worry about school (Highschool and College, google Running Start if you have questions,) transportation to and back paid by myself, I have to feed myself (This doesn't mean go upstairs and make a bowl of soup,) I have to look after my siblings, I have to teach martial arts as an obligation, as well as provide support for loved ones and friends.

Honestly, no single thing defines when a person becomes a man, woman, or an adult. 

Besides as Louis C.K. put it, you're not a REAL woman unless a baby flies out of your vagina and crushes all of your hopes and dreams.

technically, and i didnt want to get involved but you are yelling at everyone here and there are people here who i like, so here goes

with all do respect you are not a man untill you reach the age of 20, you get your responsabilities as you become an adult. Therefore the law is your guide to adulthood, since you dont see a 15 yr old with a 35 yr old

EDIT: little kids in africa, homeless without a family have responsablity to look after there little baby sister or brother, to privide food and water

I don't know where you live, but ... I live in North America. I'm 18, Meaning by the LAW I'm officially an adult.

No age defines when a person becomes a true adult. Hell, in america, the legal age of adulthood is 18. Does that mean every 18 year old is an adult? Hell no. The majority of them are at home doing nothing. Legally speaking they are, but realistically they're just large children.

oh, well i live in the uk, guess every law is different. but therefore being said every country is different so there are many people on here from different countries which the law states if there an adult or not.

Law doesn't mean shit when it comes to someone's maturity. In all honesty, I think it's capability to provide for yourself, maturity, and morality that defines someone as an adult. Not an age.

I know what you mean... You're right if that where the case I'd be like "dirty".

But if it's like a 40 year old with a 25 year old. That to me is okay.

40 year old = has a house etc
25 year old = has never owned,payed anything.

That's when age difference kicks in.

EDIT: @Dev, The "Law" (people in high places) have to respect the age (18+).
