I'm actively studying media and broadcasting. I have 4.5 years experience working behind the microphone in an actual radio station. I've been graced with the honour of working with and learning from some of the truly talented Australian radio personalities. I oversaw the production of a few podcasts in the past 5 years and I was involved in the operation of a small EOHax operated radio station called "Shift FM" a few years ago.

Since i've been looking for something new to do in recent weeks, this has stood out as a potential candidate for the next big thing.

The idea is simple:

• Operate a commercial online radio station, alternating music and specialist shows with advertising space on a global stream, 24/7/365.
• Deliver popular and lesser known tracks with full music royalties paid (aka. it's 100% legal).
• Record radio shows with a number of selected hosts, some from this community, many from outside.
• Utilise Skype Audio Conferencing to record content with many hosts from different countries simultaneously.
• Broadcast our shows on the feed, but also have them available for download via the Apple iTunes Music Store.
• Provide an Interactive Website for listeners to explore and connect with the station.
• Make the entire operation profitable via advertising space, donations and promotions.
• Make it easily possible to listen to the station live on your phone or other handheld devices.

You already said what type of music you would be playing (Sort of) but it would also depend on the hosts, and what type of other things you talk about, such as popular topics, or world news, etc.

I already listen to music on the internet and I have to say it is a good idea if you can find a "catch" to bring people in.

And Kodyt, the hat on your pic is almost the same as mine =0
