I would just like to ask what is your motivation to work on your server?

Some servers get like two people a month and others don't even get any. Also since main eo is back some servers player rates are decreasing.

Being the Boss! Being able to create your own rules! and rule Your game.

You can't be the boss of nothing.

nothing = 0 people

Sure you can be the boss of a server that no one plays. I know you were just trying to make a point, but I'm a literal person.

I like to see people enjoy what I code, give people something to do, I have met a crap load of cool people some very smart or great artist some are just chill back and cool to talk to also teaching,helping and learning from people is my modivation.

Yeah player counts kinda get depressing but Ive hosted a few decent servers and ran a couple in to the ground and learned a bit each time.

I got no motivation right now so kind of in a blah mood. Though normally its about give'n people a place where they can have fun but get away from all the cussing, spam, wanna be haxors and junk like that. Just about helping people enjoy their time online and maybe help them escape from life for a few hours. 

My motivation has always been to build the EOSERV source code to a point that is a full emulation of EO main with every single working feature as well as provide players with the EO they wanted years ago that Vult-r could not provide. With the help of Addison(quests), Bart(various fixes), Sausage(patriarch of all private servers), Stava(the best damn EO pixel artist there is), and Vult-r(lots of EO data files), I have managed to damn near clone EO (minus hacks). What motivates me to continue work is not only to make something players that remembered EO can enjoy, but with each advancement try to innovate things to not only take a step ahead of EO, but to take a step in a direction of creativity that might have never been imagined in EO without the possibility of private servers.

No motivation at all I just enjoy being in charge!!!

the 2 or 3 regular players I get keep me motivated. 6 months uptime and still the max player count is only 9. :-/ though there's close to 1000 accounts now.

my motivation is to make something 100% diferend from eo. Just found a power inside that game that goes waste on EO. you can do much more with that game. And i personally dont care for big numbers(a lot of players).Private server must be private. A private place to hung out with friends. Why to be inside a stupit boring chat and talk with your friends and dont be inside a virtual world having fun at same time?

That is exactly what I am doing, just hope the one person I told most of my plans to keeps them a secret. xD

well in my opinion its those players loss for Not trying out other servers, because unlike the real eo they have different drop rates(preffrebly easier) and different features and clothing that eo does not have.

If you go on the eo chat, you will actualy see people bored of the real eo, and some even gave there accounts away :P so there is always the eo chat you can advertise your game, i done it before xD

higher drop rates are preferable why?

hell, just make a sever that gives you everything when you first log. my biggest complaint about private servers is that they are all too damned easy.
