this may offend you, but unfortunatly i am a very honest person..
mens deffenition of bad boy is being a complete dick to a woman (thats not the case at all) - so they be one and think girls like it ..(when infact its an asshole women dont like)
and sblord you seem more of a workaholic than a relationshp type of guy, and you want women to complement you to make you feel better and reasured, unfortunatly you know nothing untill your in love, and in a relationship. you cant expect girls to fall for you or get feelings
foryouandJUSThavethemcompliment you and then have nothing to do with them its unfair. unfortunatly you seem to have a big ego, a big plan too far than your eyes can see. for me that is a big no to dating you (in otherwords this puts some girls off) xD
sure you have hopes and dreams but dont be ignorant to everything else life has to offer :) but goodluck with your big plan because i sure dont have one xD
my plan.. being in love and getting rich by being charming ;) and it kinda works considering my bf is going to earn like 25k a year rock on for shopping >=D
None taken. However I have to return the comment by stating that there's probably a few details there you misinterpreted.
I'm not a workaholic. I love the relaxing time off spent together with someone as much as everyone else. When I said I have high ambitions, I meant that I intend to think differently and take different choices in life to aim that little bit higher. Why should I take the
factory job when I knowi'm perfectly capable of being a radio host, or a designer, a graphics artist or a business manager if I apply myself in the right ways? To me, it seems like something someone would respect, the want to be a better person, aim higher, achieve more, learn more...
but still have more than enough timespent together, because I know it's just as important.
I don't want women to compliment me on my endeavours. That would imply that she (the partner) is in a position where she's pushed to one side in favour of my own personal gain. Not true. Couldn't be further from it. If I want to be happy, she has to be happy too. I want myself to do well, andI
want her to do well in what she wants to do. If anything i'd be inclined to compliment her, support her decisions, and I wouldn't expect anything in return. The reward of knowing my partner is happy together and happy with her life would be more than enough.
Do I have an ego? Probably. Is it a big one? No, it isn't. There's a difference between having an ego and just wanting to do well. I refuse to let myself have an ego because the second I believe i've succeeded is the second I stop trying.
Finally, and don't take this the wrong way, but your last line sealed the deal. If you want to become rich by being charming, then excellent, take your partner's money and go shopping. That's fine. I don't know if I could be in a relationship where that's the case though. My friend works 9 to5
to earn his pay. His partner takes it, spends it, tells him what to do with his very small cut of it. They have no intention of getting a house, a car or even setting themselves up to have a good life going forward. She calls all the shots. He wants out of that relationship, and I can't say Iblame
him. Even at this very early stage, she's very happy, but it's apparent that they have no future together.
It's not about being a workaholic, or having an ego, or wanting positive reinforcement. It's about two people, together, being the very best they can be, seeing eye to eye, hand in hand, supporting each other in the journey and having a good time while doing it. I want to be successful,
butonly if she can be successful too. Maybe I am aiming a little high, but I see it as a positive thing, not a negative characteristic.
Now, maybe none of that will make sense. It's already apparent that you and I see things very differently, but I respect that. Perhaps what it breaks down from your perspective is that i'll never have a relationship. I'll just have to accept that fact, and whatever happens i'm sure i'll befine
with.
That line really caught my focus. For the last year or two I've just been going over what I should do for a job but I keep turning away from college. I have about 4 or 5 different things I would like to choose from to take, but over thinking makes me procrastinate the next step to doing one.
Working in a factory at the moment that I could easily get fulltime and be fairly set financially. Its a shitty job though, easy but long and just wears away at you. Why should I settle for that when I know I could be successful in something better?

Aww, are my replies too hard to read? Poor cupcake. :<
That's exactly the idea. If you're not up for reading a proper reply, then it's not targeted to your audience. Who would ever guess a discussion forum of all places would have things that need to be read once in a while?
I can not and never will write short, quick scan replies. It's impossible to properly convey an idea, theory or complex scenario in just a single paragraph.

I have no problem with nerds or when he writes I just dont enjoy reading paragrapths explaining one thing =/
If it was lets say a novel then I would read it no problem but if the novel was about one thing like Alex learns how to run then no 1 one would read it.

Personally, I quite appreciate Sblord's long-winded responses. It shows to me that the internet hasn't lost all of it's humanity, self-dignity, and grammar. I enjoy being able to read something that isn't filled with "Lol, i no rite, u, n00bz," and incessant
punctuation/capitalization/grammaticalerrors. Don't get me wrong though, I'm no grammar nazi, I just like to read something that someone actually tries to make presentable.
I also know that some people say "It's the internet, I don't have to write correctly." Honestly, that is complete trash. Whether it's the internet or not, the way you portray yourself still remains the same. If you want to take as little time and effort into responding, go for it. Gives
uswonderful impressions on your character. If you feel like attempting to write a thoughtful response, fantastic. It shows that you have some education.
Tl;dr - Your responses aren't for nothing, Sblord. Keep 'em coming, some of us appreciate them.

I'm the kind of person that believes in backing up what I say with an explanation.
These kinds of long replies are very common in reputable message boards. I have a full sized keyboard in front of me, not a phone keypad, and I may as well use it right?
Also, nerd or not (although I don't tend to fit in with the nerds because I don't meet their admission criteria), I still insist that the ability to write and even more so - the ability to reason and clarify - is a beneficial skill, not an annoying trait. It shows professionalism.
Another random fact, i've taken another step on my journey. I signed my new employment papers this morning, i'm now classed as a "full time permanent hardware engineer".

i think sblord is a very passionate young man, i like the fact he adds detail in his responses. im the kinda girl that likes that. hes not afraid to tell it all, most guys would hold back on the matter. and the fact hes a writer is fantastic, because i actualy used to write poems when i was
12.then it spiraled into creating movie plots. and lucky for me i have a friend trying to get into the movie buisness =D so u never know u might see my story line in cinamas one day ^^ (i did post my movie plot in these forums also if you wonna go try find it)
fact, i watched a movie last night that reminded me of my own life and the mistakes i have unforgivably done, and i cried i will admit it. it was awfull looking back on and actor and actress replay something similer to my life. the movie was called "the good girl" played by jennifer anniston and
the guy off roadback mountain? i think its called that lol, the gay cowboy thing.
oh and also, speaking of cupcakes i was thnking of buying my boyfriend one today haha :D

What can I say, I can make honesty work. It's a fine art. Thanks though, I appreciate it. I apologise if you got the impression I called you spoiled at one point, not my intention, just trying to say we have very different views of this topic (although it doesn't seem that different come to think
of it) but I definitely respect yours.
"Very passionate young man"... true, I am young in the grand scheme of things, but considering some of the members here go back to 13 and all it just sounds funny in comparison. I'm 20, for what it's worth.

It's always difficult to find logic in a being completely void of it. Either way, well played. That's all I can say. :P
