Well seeing as you've used ubuntu plus or whatever, why don't you use the iPod manager for linux? or if you are on windows there's TONS of programs to replace iTunes, especially since you are jailbroken.

If by "using" ubuntu's cloud thing you mean being unable to create an account and only getting a rude response to a request I sent them, yes, I've used it...
