I still refuse to jailbreak my iPhone 3G on account of the fact it turned my handset into a piece of shit last time. These days I keep it running a base install, after all it's not like the iPhone OS is lacking as-is. I only ever use it for what it was intended to do though- call, send and receive messages and email, look up locations, venues and other random information.

Interesting. I can't think of a bigger waste of my money than when I got my iPhone :P But I have my own reasons for that.

Based on your list I'd go with a phone from HTC...I'd pick the evo 4G since I have a couple of friends who have it and it is amazing. I'm not too sure about 3D stuff though, when my ex was buying a phone and the guy showed us the 3D picture taking I was completely underwhelmed...

Nope. I jailbroke it a couple months ago...still would prefer a windows/android phone.

Jailbreaking has come a long way since then. Honestly i couldn't use a iPhone without it being jailbroken.. If you have seen the previews for iOS5 you know the new notification system, well i've had that since like iOS3.x and it runs great. Now i'm on iOS 4.3.3 and my 3GS lasts me all day of constant texting and calls (about 3000 txt messages a day), while when its not jailbroken it'd last but 6 hours tops without needing me to recharge the damn thing :|.. and thats with 3g off wifi off and brightness down as low as it goes..
