Hey, title says it all, looking to get a new phone.

Atm I have a Blackberry Torch 9800, the specs just aren't up to par with what I'd like and my friends moms agreed to take over my contract so I can start a new one with a different company and not have to pay for a phone outright.

Would like to keep away from 3 year contracts, but it seems fairly necessary if I don't want to pay out my ass for one off contract lol.

Anyway, here's the ones I'm looking at right now.. Got some things I like about each of them, just deciding which I'd like best.

Motorola XT860 4G

I love having a slide out keyboard just for the convenience, and this phone just has a nice sleek look to it in general.

Motorola Atrix 4G

Powerful phone, has the Lapdock to make it sort of like a laptop which is neat.

HTC Evo 3D

Just plain cool to have a 3D phone that works like a 3DS and I like the phones look in general.

Theres not a huge selection of phones in Canada really, so prettymuch my only other choices would be the new torch coming out or Samsung Galaxy S 2.

Right now leaning towards the Evo 3D, just seems really cool lol.

Any thoughts?

I would go with the 2nd or 3rd :o, 3D sounds pretty cool though.

Personally, I think 3D would get on my nerves.

Yep.

Its not constant 3D, you can turn if off if you don't want to use it.

But the phone has the same processor and everything as the usual HTC's and its roughly the same price, so it is something cool to have with it lol.

3D phone sucks

Wait for the Samsung Galaxy S2 to come out..should be this month or next. It is the best phone on the market to date. It should even beat out the iphone 5.

You cannot beat the Samsung Galaxy S2.

S2 is already out in Canada, was using one in Bestbuy yesterday.

Its nothing special.. Same specs pretty much as the Atrix

HTC Evo 3D, i myself use it along with Sony Ericsson Xperia, which is amazing too. :)

I would go with the Motorola Atrix, but, if you want a cool looking phone then I would choose the HTC evo 3D. I have a Windows Phone (LG Quantum) and I love it.

I'm in search for a phone as well, though I am really picky when it comes to a phone. It must have a slide out keyboard, 1080p HD, 8mega pixel camera, and I must be able to see the screen clearly with no glare from the sun. That is why I choose and want the Galaxy S2. Another thing about me, I never buy a phone on a contract. When you buy the unlocked phone and go pay as you go, you normally save money. 

The Galaxy S2 will have a slide out keyboard on the AT&T network (Second worst network in America). Though on the Sprint network they will be releasing the Epic 4G 2 which should be a Galaxy S2, with lesser specs, that has a slide out keyboard. But since you live in Canada you probably wouldn't want to pay $600 for an unlocked phone so your prob screwed there.

The HTC Evo 3D is really not a great phone, good but not great. The 3D effect gets old after a while and the 3D effect is not that great. Yes the phone has some good qualities but over all some of the features don't stack up to other phones that are being released on the market. If you want a 3D phone then I'd wait a year and see what comes along then. 

Now the Motorola Atrix is not a good phone. Yes its fast but some time it lags up. Also the laptop dock is just a shell that has a screen, keyboard and battery. And you have to hook your phone up to use it, so for $500 price tag it just doesn't seem wroth it.

Just don't forget that most carriers offer a 30days to see if you like the phone. If you dont like it, just take it back and end the contract. Wont cost you a dime.

Personally I love my G2X. It's very slick, clean, and simple(yet complicated).

Interesting. I can't think of a bigger waste of my money than when I got my iPhone :P But I have my own reasons for that.

Based on your list I'd go with a phone from HTC...I'd pick the evo 4G since I have a couple of friends who have it and it is amazing. I'm not too sure about 3D stuff though, when my ex was buying a phone and the guy showed us the 3D picture taking I was completely underwhelmed...
