Re: Restoring Laptop to Factory Settings?

Future reference... System Restore doesn't restore a computer to factory settings. It's designed to recover from failed software or driver installs, registry issues and other system related issues only. It doesn't remove any data on the system and it won't do anything to help severe
systemperformance or reliability issues.
Alright thanks, everything seems to be working, made a new profile and I don't have anything on the desktop except for the recycle bin. The only thing that I can't get to work is the WIFI but I'l get that sooner or later.

Re: Restoring Laptop to Factory Settings?
You could of also just restarted your computer. Most of the time when your PC/Mac is booting up there will be a prompt such as "Press F10 for System Restore"
Also, dont forget to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
and Start>Control Panel>Internet Options>Browsing History>Settings>View Files>Ctrl+A+Delete
and C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Cookies
Every few months.
