That sits in the moderators section? Why fix something that can only be used by so called trusted people. There is no need to fix something that is
only accessible for staff roles. ---

Sure there is.
Moderators are just that, moderators, they are meant to have a limited amount of power. Moderators are trusted, but only to a certain level, or they'd just be admins with full access. You wouldn't want an exploit in a moderator panel that allows the moderator to exploit the site, to delete
allthe posts, for example.

There's not really anything to fix, just don't move an innocent person's topic around for no reason...

Being able to move topics to forums that don't exist seems like a problem to me.

Well, You would only appoint trusted people. We didn't know about the exploit but yes I'm sure Sausage is going to fix that before he attempts to even bother hiring anyone.
Anyway, I cannot be bothered to discuss this any more as I am trying to do real stuff this end.

Being able to move topics to forums that don't exist seems like a problem to me. Well I guess it sounds funny if you were planning on designing something to be like that, but that's just how forum names happen to work in this weakly constrained database. There's not really a huge benefit to making sure the forum exists other than stopping someone accidentally replacing the drop-down list of valid sections with a text box and typing in something that doesn't exist.

@Desmond: Even if you assume that what're asserting is true, that's clearly not how this forum is being run. You're not only appointing "people you trust", if there was an event to become a moderator by finding an easteregg.
@Sausage: Yeah, there wouldn't be a huge advantaged gained, but it's still bad practice.
