ok i start school in about 3 weeks and took these classes over the next year and a half. do i got the basics covered or did i  bite off more than i can chew

tech courses

flash animation and design

c++ programming

java programming

advanced c++ programming

advanced java programming

advanced gaming and simulation topics

3d game design and development

advanced flash animation and design

2d game design and development

flash action scripting

programming logic and problem solving

In a year and a half? Without heavy background knowledge in all of those you are going to drown. (assuming advanced is actually advanced, and the game stuff actually involves something more than the basics, but even then, you're probably still b0ned).

Sausage, how long did it take you to get where your at now?(In programming). how many years ;s?

Sausage, how long did it take you to get where your at now?(In programming). how many years ;s?

I've just been doing my own thing for about 6 years. With formal education you could probably get pretty far in at least a single paradigm in just 2. But that's just programming alone, with game development, flash etc. all mixed in there you're gonna need all the time you can get.

what subject you think i should focus most on? the c++ and the java? i had to take the flash stuff. its mostly a package for the degree.

C++ isn't for beginners, where Java is simple to the point of being brain-numbing. Java is also much better for teaching OOP (which is step one for programmers these days) as it's effectively forced on you.
