It would be nice having lounge taken out, but what about the competitions? (coding, pixeling) Those are in the lounge. I guess the pixeling one could be in the Artist section, but what about the coding? :O

Lol don't get me wrong, i love lounge. But what I'm saying is it would be much better if we took it off of Recent Actions.

I concur about the Programming section. Also the lounge should be taken out ever since it was added newbs have been flooding it with server advertisements and stupid games it was better when it was just 4 sections.

I agree with the programming section and the inbox. If the lounge is going to get removed and say, i needed to post a program for EO that didnt really relate to any of the topics. Noone would see it <:O The inbox could also prevent people from posting direct questions to people by making useless topics.

No need to remove the lounge.. Just the lounge posts that appear on forum index. Imagine it, you come here thinking "ooo I remember this game, cool they have private servers now" or some other reason, only to find the index is filled with a debate about some egotistical people, being lead byevenmore egotistical people, and then re-enforced by egotistical moderators. Or, just to put the cherry on top, a discussion about what kind of food you eat. By all means, people should talk about whatever they want, but at least not shower the index with replies like "lolk".

I think a suitable idea would be to group each forums latest messages and display them exactly the same, only you should see them each in their own boards when you click that forum. If that makes any sense.

EDIT: OR grouping via topic title, so that when a new reply is made, there is no extra post on the same message on the index, rather the same post is moved to the top and a message is displayed stating "user just replied to topic title", without adding a new entry.

So in this idea, you wouldn't see this:

User1 replied to topic1 at 00:03

User2 replied to topic1 at 00:03

User3 replied to topic2 at 00:02

User3 replied to topic1 at 00:01

Instead you would see this:

User1 replied to topic1 at 00:03
User3 replied to topic2 at 00:02

And that's all.

I would like to have an inbox and a chat on this site, it would improve the community of eoserv.net, I am pretty sure of that. AND the inbox would be a nice way to help people.

Also, I would like to have signatures back. You could disallow urls, but allow pictures (Sigs?) and a plain text.

It wouldn't be hard to put the URL in the picture.;s

Obviously people have differing opinions on what should and shouldn't show under "Recent actions" so I guess I'll have to make it configurable. :P

I'll add a programming board, but there's much better places to ask for help.

I agree, there should be like a "Facebook chat" feature. Also I agree with the competition idea. It would bring so challenges to the website and it would make pixelers/coders/mapper/etc. look at their work and learn from their mistakes.
