Well I just really want to see the talent in EOSERV and I thought this would be a good idea. Well I am just going to post the rules of the competition the starting date and the ending date and also the person who wins the competition. Well let us start.

RULES:

• Do not create a program which contains a virus or hackish program.
• Any type of program is allowed(Calculators,Games,Simple command line games)
• You may use any language you wish to.
• You have to post the source.
• Please do not harass other competitors.
• NO STEALING OTHER PEOPLES PROGRAMS!
• Please follow all the rules
• You can't use a program that you have started on before the starting date.

Starting Date: 7/19/2011 12:00 pm(EST)

Ending Date: 7/23/2011 2:00 pm(EST)

Please submit your programs on the designated due date or it will not be submitted the RESULTS of the competition will be known the next day. Please ask any questions or concerns on this topic. Also please reply on this topic if you would liketoenterthecompetitionandyouwillenlistedonthe"Competitors" list. I myself might be competing I still have to decide. Thanks for reading this(You will be eliminated if you do not follow any of the rules). =)

One, who's judging them? Two, if you're the judge, you probably shouldn't compete. Three, I'll be competing :P Four, a rule should be that you can't have a program that you've been working on before the start date/time. Five, harass* (since you're always correcting spelling/grammar).

Well, the language I'm most advanced at I'd say is pascal, so here's just a few :P

ASCII Snake

ASCII Minecraft - No where near finished... Haven't worked on it in a while

ASCII Portal - Buggy kinda.. Still works :L

ASCII Space Invaders - has a few glitches

EOSERV Auto Restarter - Written in VB

Yes.. I like my pascal and command line projects ;p

EDIT: If you make it a rule that it has to be a program you haven't been working on previously, I'm so up for the challenge of making an ASCII RPG... Always wanted to do that XD.. Like proper walking around and going into houses and all that crazy shit ;)

So, you can't really judge with that many programming languages. Some things are harder in C++ and really simple in C# for example.

Alright well I'm assuming that your going to participate.

im in, expect something magnificent from perl/flash/c or something along the lines of that but anyway im in and am i allowed flash based programs? what are the program rules? any type of program or? cause i could release my calculator that divides by zero :/

Well unfortunately I couldn't find a replacement judge so I can't a participate. Well anyways it's 18 minutes till 12:00 PM so just start.
