They are called negative numbers. They come before 0 on the number line.

0 is a neutral number, it comes before positive numbers(+1, +2, etc.), and after negative numbers(-1, -2, etc.)

It doesn't mean you will get banned. But it does help us with moderation since we can see the rating under your avatar. Normal users used to be able to but Sausage removed it. ---
