THE MURDER AT EO STREET.... *LAW AND ORDER SOUND EFFEX* (Thung Dang)

THE VICTIM: Mr. Smith, Clyde

BRIEF PROFILE: Mr Smith was an ordinary person. He was a mechanic at a local automotive shop. Was an average income earner. His wife died around about 2 years ago and since then he lived at home alone. Mr Smith always went to the localbowlingclubafterhisworkwherehewouldget a few drinks with some friends. He also joined bowling competitions which he recieved a few trophies from, In fact he was in the semi finals of a 2011 competition before he died. They also gave out a sum of cash prize forgrandfinalists,especiallythisyearthecash prizeisalmost 15k in total a bonus from the club owner who recently won 50k in a casino. His work is just a walking distance from his house and so is the local club. Every now and then Mr Smith would drive over to the city to visit his only daughter wholives in therewith herfiancesoontobe husband.Andthat was basically Mr Smith's life.

MURDER BRIEF: Body found at 16:35 in the backyard of his house by his daughter who immediately reported to the police. He recieved several slashes on the neck. House was clean no sign of forced entry or any struggle. A 10cm Paring Knife  wasfoundinthebackyardbut it had no blood stains nor finger prints.Besideatable there was a broken glass with some blood stains, it was neatly piled into a dustpan blood stains confirmed to be Mr Smiths.That was all that was found in the crime scene. Estimated time of death 12:40 same day(JUNE132011)

D: Sir can I ask you a few questions? Its about the case of your neighbour Mr Smith

G: *Puts on an angry face* What do you think I did it?

D: Did you?

G: OF COURSE NOT!

D: Sir I just wanted to know where you were this afternoon around about 12:30 to 13:00?

G: I was at the shops the whole day I just got back actually.... And I saw the ruckus happening outside the house I asked one of you guys and they told me .... Ye....

D: Mrs. Dampington Mr Smith's other next door neighbour had mentioned just outside that you and umm...Mr Smith always fights she said you would always shout if Mr Smith made a little bit of noise and in fact she even saw you one time throwing some smallpebblesjusttoshuthimup?

G: DAMN THAT DAMPINGTON! SHES MAKING ME LOOK BAD HERE! Do you really think I would kill someone over a few arguments?! DO YOU!? And Ive already told I was out of the house for the whole day down at the shops and just came back! *Murmuring with an angry face*

D: Sorry to bother you then, One last question, Who do you think would have done this?

G: Well there's a guy always outside the street he usually hangs out in his car doing nothing he seems to be studying the people around here.. I dont know..

D: Studying?

G: As in you know watching as if hes planning to do something and funny enough he disappeared right after a murder.... He wasdoing thatfor almost a full week it was very creepy *His face now showing relief probably thinking he's off the hook"

D: Thank you very much sir for your time..

G: Ye whatever, Glad to help... *Shuts and locks the door*

D: Afternoon Ma'am

DPG: Afternoon to you too, this is very sad indeed.... *Nods her head*

D: Ma'am Im sorry but may I ask you a few questions

DPG: Why certainly anything I can do to help

D: Were you at home during the hours of 12:00 to 13:00?

DPG: I certainly was officer, would those have been the estimated time of death by any chance?

D: It is...

DPG: Oh dear.. at around about that time I wouldve been cooking lunch and I think I might have just seen a car park outside Im not sure who it was...

D: Did you recognize the car by any chance?

DPG: Actually Ive never seen the car before

D: Ma'am could you please describe the car?

DPG: Well it was dark blue in color it was just an ordinary small car from my view thats all I could remember from it *Looks up and thinks harder*

D: You said you were cooking lunch?

DPG: Why yes for me and my husband..

D: And your husband was with you at those times?

DPG: Certainly he was reading the papers right on the dining table sir

MDPG: *Walks in the convo* Dear what's going on?

DPG: Just being interviewed, its about Mr Smith's Case

MDPG: Ahh! Sad Indeed.... Very sad...

D: May I ask you one last question? *Without waiting* Who do you think would've done this to him and why?

DPG: That's 2 questions dear *Smiles with a very tiny giggle* well I would have no clue I dont really like pointing people out.... BUT! When we were eating lunch around about 12:30 I did hear a glass breaking?

D: That was an evidence found ! Please tell me more

DPG: Well that was about it

D: No Screams? No Shouting?

MDPG: *Cuts in* Please officer dont stress my wife too much

D: Im very sorry Mr. Dampington

DPG: Its okay dear , although may I warn you about his other next door neighbour Mr Garrison, Aw.... They always fight even on small things and one time I even saw him throwing a pebble at Mr Smith just to shut him up with the noise he's making unbelievable....

D: So your'e suggesting..

DPG: Just a thought you know when you get asked by officers you can get very nervous and you'll just think hard enough to say everything you possibly can to help

D: Thank you very much for your time

DPG: Have a good day sir *Walks away with her husband*

Without interviews there is no way to conclusively come up with the murderer.

His daughters fiance knew him, had no need to force an entry because he was a member of the family, he prolly knew he goes to these bowling tourneys and etc. He had the motives, To get money for the wedding or etc? He intended on using the knife but instead used the bottle. 

But then again it was "Neatly" piled in a dustpan and it coulda been a women.

the Murder Weapon is the WIPED paring knife..the blood and fingerprints were wiped off

to leave trails..

the glass was merely a dying message...Smith might have grabbed the glass..and the murder thought it was merely for self defense..but MR smith made a dying message that points out to the culprit...

As for the killer its..Joe Borough the fiancee of his daughter..

Stained glass means that he was killed...and the stain was blood..meaning a family member..

I believe it was Ashley Smith.

A paring knife is a kitchen utensil, found where all women should be.

The bloody glass was in a dust pan, meaning the culprit might have had some kind of mental disorder, if they wanted to clean up after murdering someone.

And everyone always does it for the money. Ashley was probably a drug addict of some kind and needed the money for her crack.

What the fuck... so kitchen utensils are used, therefore it must be a woman? You's best be trollin. Regardless, if i'm ever murdered, I never want one of you lot to be handling my case.

Whoever murdered him would not have been in it for the money, considering he was only in the semi finals any action at this stage would prove fruitless.

Most murderers clean up after a murder to remove traces of their presence, or to skew the scene to throw off the investigation.

June 13th, 2011 is a Monday. The estimated time of death is 12:40 PM, just after midday. Why was Mr. Smith not at work? Perhaps this could be why the door was open? Who found the body at 4:35 PM that same afternoon and what were they doing there in the first place that allowed them to enter the property and discover the body?

I actually forgot yesterday was a public holiday... same here in South Australia too of course. Still remains a valid point, since he would then have been at home during the entire day.

There's a number of things i'm curious about. The broken glass is what currently has my interest. It seems to suggest that the perpetrator was in the process of disposing of evidence but was stopped abruptly for some reason. This however would rely on something having startled the perpetrator, perhaps the daughter but unlikely due to the amount of elapsed time between the murder and the discovery. It's possible that a third party in the investigation that's yet to be found may have entered the crime scene between the time of death and the discovery of the body.

The fact that there are no signs of forced entry also seem to suggest that the victim may have known or had reason to trust the killer to the point of allowing them access to the property, perhaps by persuasion.

As everyone else is probably assuming, there is particular interest to locate and interview Mr. Washington, the driver of the unidentified vehicle that had been seen in the street over the course of the week as it seems as though he may have critical information regarding the murder. I am hesitant to suspect Mr. Garrison despite his behaviour as currently the motive is not sufficient to warrant murdering Mr. Smith and had he under some circumstance chosen to, he would have left too obvious a trail, being located just next door.

The plot thickens. So far i'm quite enjoying this. Keep it coming.

It is probaly mr. G.. It is very suspicious that he is acting so angry in the interview. While the detective is interviewing mr.G he is talkin about: I was shopping all the time. But how can he know that the man in the car dissapeared right after the murder of mr smith. In the first place: If he was shopping he cant know that he left right after the murder because he was gone the whole day. And in the second place: The man in the car could already have left before mr.G came home and before mr smith was murdered. So my answer is: Mr.G killed him (Just for now, I might change my mind =P)

If I was an officer I would wait until all interviews have been done before saying anything because you can'y wrongly accuse someone :P

Most suspects when placed in a formal interview will show anger, usually as a side effect of anxiety. It's not enough to call a conclusion. In addition, the impression I get is that Mr. G's report seems to suggest the unknown character had been spotted in the street over the course of the week, but leaving "straight after" doesn't mean he left immediately after the murder, but the car was not in the street upon his return.
