Vult probably planned to use it later on, same with the karma system. The class and home spots were empty until he actually started using them, in I forget which version.

And the elemental values in the pub files, and on the stats screen. And many other things in eo.
It seems that people dont realise that eo in a fairly unfinished game lol.

Well at v.28 I would think that vult would atleast have all the beggining stuff finished and be adding more stuff.

Lol you obviously dont realise how slow the progress of eo was xD it was only in like v18 or so that he added in stats and levels etc xD
And i would have thought that a standard levelling system was a crucial part of any MMO :P

Slow? It was pretty fast. Every 8 months there was a new version, Except when v27b came it took ages b4 v28 came and 1 years later v29 wasnt done yet.

Well maybe not slow as such. But he was certainly not finished all the necessary basics fast enough lol.

Well, every 3 or 4 months WoW has a new content patch. Every month or two Minecraft has a few patch updates as well. 8 months for one update? EO was excruciatingly slow, to the point where development on it was almost 0%.

This is very true.
Granted, EO was only being developed by one programmer with a couple others providing graphics. While the other bigger MMO's such as WOW have massive teams working on them as their primary job.
But then again WOW is a hugely more advanced game than EO ever could be. Progress on EO could and SHOULD have been much much faster.
