Everyone talks about new stuff they own on the latest generation of consoles, but what about the classic systems that produced some of the first video games?

I own an NES and recently purchased a lot of classic games, all of which feature the first appearance ever of the characters we know and love. I currently own: Mario Bros 1,2,3; Duck Hunt; Metroid; Zelda/Zelda II; Tetris; Mega Man III and I'm looking to buy some more classic titles (Donkey Kong, Contra, Final Fantasy, etc.). I have to say playing these games is like experiencing history - especially with regards to hearing the musical themes.

I also bought an N64 (not too old, I know, but I never owned one as a child). I also ordered Star Fox (do a barrel roll) and am looking to buy the first smash bros game that was made.

I think I've been enjoying playing classic games more than playing newer games just because of how classic they are. Anybody else have classic games they enjoy playing from time to time?

Classic games are the best. Ive played all the marios, Duck hunt, zelda Ocarnia of time, and some sonic sega games. I used to have a Portable Sega, but i gave away. Right now i have 2 Super Nintendos, 2 N64, a Sega and etc.

Super Nintendo <3 I still wish I had it. My fav game was Donkey Kong. My auntie had it when she was 14 and gave it to me. And then I always played, then I got into better consoles, then computers. Then I played club penguin ;D << off topic D: w/e.

Lol @ lols. I hate playing those old consoles now that the graphics have improved x100 on newer consoles and games.

Best NES game ever made, hands down is dragon warrior 4, good luck getting a copy, but you can get it for your emulator.

For a while I've enjoyed playing older games now just because of sentimental value and how classic they are. They don't need cool graphics to be amazing games. For example, I prefer Super Smash Bros Melee over Brawl, even though brawl graphics are amazing (the physics and fighting style are better, and anyone can be decent at brawl after playing a few rounds).
