Well personally i think ps3 is better because:

one it doesnt overheat easily
two it can handle more like for some reason u'd drop it on the floor XD
three online is free

Because i tryed ps3 the connection sucks balls online play lags you all time. more hackers on ps3. Don't get me rouge i love ps but they failed on this on xbox got my vote

It depends on whos ur host and ps3 got better platformers :p, Killzone, Ratchet and clank etc.

Only good platformer xbox got it Halo, GoW is good from what i hear but their releasing its engine so anyone could easily make a duplicate with diffrent story / graphics. One example is the game AVA, Alliance of Valliant Arms on Ijji.com

i like both consoles equaliy they both got there favorites ps3: socom,rachet and clank xbox: halo,gears of war but they are both amazing LOL bad spelling

About "PS3 having a laggy games" bullshit, never had a lag with playstation, get better internet...

Overall PS3 is better, than Xbox, but I still hate consoles!

The only reason theres more hackers on PS3 is because its a challenge unlike Xbox you plugin a j-tag WOW so hard

PS3 you have to make the program get around Playstations Network!

And The only reason PS3 is down now because a faggot wanted to try to steal credit card numbers but failed and now is getting tracked and soon to be in jail for years!

Did you just say there are more hackers on PS3's network because its harder to hack?

I'd personally go for the Playstation, online is free and it has a very nice Playstation Plus mode which allows you full game demos, game demos earlier, etc. It has some very nice features. I also agree with the fact that your Playstation will only lag if you have a bad internet connection. ThePS3 has some must-haves that the Xbox doesn't, such as the Uncharted series, Infamous, etc. The Xbox is still good, I just prefer the PS3 xP

Also, Newguy, he was saying that the PS3 had harder games- not that it was harder to hack. =P

That makes no sense. If something is harder to hack than something else, why bother?

I don't think he was implying that it was harder to hack, but that it was a harder challenge in games. I could be wrong though xP

My personal list of pros and cons for xbox360 and ps3:

Xbox360 - Pros

• Better global server operation.
• More secure, not as easy to hack.
• Better social interfaces and ease of use.
• Cheaper hardware.
• More updates.
• Better endorsement.
• Shooting games.
• Sports games (kinect).
• Better value deals that contain more of what you're looking for. Such as headgear, different size HDD's, Blu-Ray players and such.
• Better overall GUI and usability. Can easily choose music from your PC to play in game. Choose your own BG music - epic.
• Better offline play and user function.

Xbox360 - Cons

• Less RPG's.
• Less platform games.
• Slightly less power.
• Less sensitive buttons.
• ROD.
• Not pretty.
• Requires updates to play older Xbox games.
• Lacks built in wireless transmitter.

PS3 - Pros

• Internet browser.
• Better interest from third party game manufactures.
• Better RPG's.
• Better platform games.
  
• Slightly higher potential graphics engine.
• Better old platform compatibility, can play PS1 or PS2 games (also a CON, see PS3 - Cons)
• Looks like a high-tech microwave oven (also cooks like one). In other words, it looks 'hot'.
• Better control pad button sensitivity.
• Better wireless facility.

PS3 - Cons

• Lacks decent deals/packages. The packages lack in what the user may need, such as compatible headgear.
• Different versions ability to play older platform PS1 and PS2 games. It's hard to tell which ones you'll be able to play. I've heard some PS3's won't play either.
• Lacks decent social interface and social communities.
• Insecure servers, insecure hardware. These things can break or be hacked easily.
• Overheating in earlier versions was immense, it actually affected the loading speed of GUI interfaces and shutdowns etc.
• Lacks in game interfaces and usability such as personal music / not compatible with all games.
• Expensive.

These lists were made from my own opinion and I've owned both consoles more than once each. I loved both consoles for different reasons and they are listed above. They are both equally good for a number of different reasons, it mostly depends on what the user likes but for crying out loud, PS3 is too expensive.
