Re: Can't connect to EO main.
You guys just don't know how to follow rules.
I said please don't post unless you have some method of getting this fixed.
You both continuously break this rule. And neither of you have posted any sort of method to get this fixed (like I asked). If I could block you from this thread I would. Do me a favor, and don't post anything else here. Both of you.
Update: Here are the things I have tried.
I have tried connecting via JME proxy, and I can not. So obviously the server is blocking my HDID (if it is some sort of ban).
There is a huge possibility that is it no sort of ban at all. (some people are hard headed and think I am not open to other ideas XD)
I have tried restarting my computer, refreshing my TCP/IP and winstock.
I have also tried disabling firewall. Still nothing.
Any other suggestions?

What can you do about it? Nothing at all. I've told you information about one of the problems and you keep stating the same information that I have already dis-proven. I've tried to help. I'm not breaking any rules but you're breaking quite a few. Considering
you'redenying any help whatsoever after starting a thread needing help (even ignoring what I just previously said about trying another pc/network, and ignoring the other guy) So please check your facts. Nobody should help this unappreciative
asshole. G'day sir.

I'm sorry. Let's start over. Hey Saintdraco, got any ideas on how to fix this? :D

Re: Can't connect to EO main.
Alright Well my final comment to you soulbanisher, is you are a lost cause. I was following the rules, maybe if you read the rules you would know. Even when I thought you were acting like an immature asswhole, I was still willing to help you. I'm done helping you because of your stupidity and
disrespectful behavior. You need to read the rules yourself before accusing others of breaking them.
Good luck with getting main to work while you don't even know why, and I do. I'm really glad I decided not to help you, simply because of your attitude. Grow up and don't expect any help from me ever unless you smarten up.

Re: Can't connect to EO main.
Obviously I'm sure you changed the port to 8079?
Maybe something could be blocking the port 8079?
It must be something to do with your ip, or a port
Do you have a router? You might simply be having router problems.

Re: Can't connect to EO main.
Yeah, I have the EOconfig set up correctly. I'm not sure what could be blocking the port.
I disabled my firewall, but it doesn't do any good.
I also tried: netsh int ip reset - reset the internet protocol. (TCP/IP)
netsh winsock reset - reset/repair your winsock entries.

If your not smart enough to understand I'm trying to help you then I could care less. I'll help people more respectful/ deserving. You have to rule out possibilities, to get answers...
You are asking me if I am smart enough to understand. Lol, don't try and troll me kid.
I'm here looking for help, and I know I'm not visibly banned. It is very very possible to block a computer from connecting, without the person receiving a ban message.
If you have some sort of method in fixing this, then please share it.
It is not possible since there is no new client (v29 or greater) supporting it. You never was banned so quit saying you could of been.
You are incorrect sir. There would not have to be a new client, or a v29 to add a silent ban to the server coding. You don't even have to say it is a ban, but just simply not allowing the HDID to connect.
You need to check your facts.
And for god sakes, I'll say it one more time:
DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU HAVE A METHOD OF FIXING THIS.
Okay make this almighty silent ban code and ban me so it doesn't show an account locked nor banned message.
Enlighten me since you think you know how everything works but yet can't even connect to a server, NOR even tried a proxy yet OR a different computer (On the same network and one off the original network) Rofl
Actually it would be possible to do, but then it would affect all other banned players as well. Unless you had a separate database column for "silentban" or something that clearly defined which different bans there were. So it would be roughly equal to simply changing the ban declaration to
sending an unable to connect message instead of the ban message. A simple packet change will do that, because all client messages are stored in the .dat files.

Re: Can't connect to EO main.
Can you plug the home modem into your own computer? If so don't connect the router to your computer connect *only*the modem. That will rule out the most likley possibility if it doesn't work. Tell me if that works.

I do agree with you on that one.
Soul, just because it can be done, doesn't mean it has been. Also, fun fact, Vult-r has never once made use of a permanent IP ban. Ever. Why would he start now? Isn't it a bit late?
