Post #72084 Updates from an ex-developer/admin

I wonder if there is any way for me to prove I am the ex-admin/developer from EO named Mizzy. I guess not, but you'll just have to take my word for it then.

Just popping in to say I am digging the work you guys are doing. Unpon developing EO, I would never have thought it would have such a huge impact, with so many people still caring about it years later.

So, maybe you're wondering what happened to me? I can tell you I'm in my final year of study. I currently have a degree in Graphic Design, I studied illustration and am currently rounding up my study Multimedia Design.

For this (and further development) I am making Dungeon Adventures, a multiplayer flash game, loosely based on DnD and Endless Online. I'm afraid I can't show the website as it is now, but I can show a few spoilers:

And a screenshot of the game in it's development stages:

I'd love to hear from others. Has EO inspired you to make games? Do you still know people you met on EO?

Cheers,
Yvon

Actually, I haven't had contact with any of the oldtime eo developers in years. I have Angie and Teror on facebook, but thats about it. If this helps, this is a developer sheet I found laying around my backups. Not sure if it proves anything, but as stated before, I don't really care if you believe me or not. :)

PS: Wouldn't it prove enough if I am uploading these things from mizzyvon.com ? ;)

Actually, I wanted to show my support to people keeping the EO spirit alive. I spend so much of my free time developing EO, answering emails and holding contests. There has been a /lot/ of drama, and when I quit, I felt like I had wasted a lot of my time.

Now, I am older and I realize that it has been a positive experience. I have learned a lot, and have developed a love for creating games. I just thought I'd add an update on the things I'm working on right now.

PS: Haha, google vertaler is erg grappig. Ik vrees dat iedereen daarmee door de mand zou vallen. Nee, ik ben Nederlandse.

Alright, Well I basically started coding through EO itself, I love to make games but I'm not that talented to start something, I actually did meet people on EO and I still got contact with them, so I hope this answers your question. Your game looks rather interesting by the way.

EDIT: En ja dat klopt, Als ik iets van engels naar nederlands wil vertalen dan komt dat er ook nogal fout uit. :P
EDIT Translation: Yes thats correct, if I translate something from English to Dutch than it comes out rather wrong. :P

Oh wow, I never saw that video! Thats awesome. I do have great respect for hackers, you know. Yah, that sounds weird I know. But it does take skill and determination.

I wish you luck to the new game you're developing, please try to maintain it better than vult-r maintained eo. I might play it when it's released.

Hey Yvon, if that is really you then it would be easy to prove it. Quincy(Rexor) has joined my "Edge" server which is a continuation of where Vult-r let EO die. Not saying you should join or anything like that, but Quincy mentions you here and there and how he has lost touch with many of theAdmin from main aside from Teror and Arvid.

Anyway, I am sure Rexor can identify you as he was one of the 4 originals that started EO :P

I will tell him to drop you a line and congrats with your success.

Here is our messenger info if you wanna get in touch:

If you are teh mizzy, teh white pimp betroths the crown to you (If you remember me)

I'm mad at you, you just up and disappeared one day and left me hanging. Oh and yeah its been fun developing eoserv and improving upon the original game. I bet atleast 10 people owe Sausage for their coding skills from messing with eoserv. Question, how did you find it?
