I don't understand you right now no offense.. --- http://www.ctronic.ga http://www.tsu.co/Deltro https://www.reverbnation.com/deltro9

Check the time the topic has been created. (Which in a few cases has been a year ago or so.) Step 2. Check out the latest revision and see when it has been uploaded to the SVN Snapshot list. If the topic has been made 1 year ago, and revision 244 has been uploaded a month ago or so, then that doesn't go together. But thats just me though. --- "Pineapples and shit."

| ![]() What I really need is NPC interaction, from which i've come to the conclusion needs to be compiled back into the game itself from edited source/header files? Is my conclusion wrong? Also, my server is linux and this was the first eo server we found prepared for linux install. Ananas, I did that. Your post was from ~March 30th 2011. I checked the svn, changelog, and timeline. There were about 4 diff revs within that short span around when you posted it. So I wasn't sure which one you was using. It was in the rev218-rev222 range I think..

| ![]() dns posted: (31st Dec 2011, 09:36 am) Eosource an Vodka both run on linux, I had them running on Ubuntu last month, just to see if it works, I'm pretty sure eosource has npc interactions so does vodka, but I could be wrong when it comes to vodka haven't ACTUALLY used it in a while. --- http://www.ctronic.ga http://www.tsu.co/Deltro https://www.reverbnation.com/deltro9

| ![]() Well I was considering trying to run eosource from mono using linux if I couldn't get this to work.
|
| ![]() dns posted: (31st Dec 2011, 09:40 am) Well I' recommend vodka if you want the classic eo feel, but eosource if you want a little extra stuff to play with. With that I'm going to bed. --- http://www.ctronic.ga http://www.tsu.co/Deltro https://www.reverbnation.com/deltro9

| ![]() Oh. Well i'm running an actual linux server with no gui, just command line. I figured it may work using mono 2.10.8 but i'll just have to try it out I suppose. I just want my lil community to have something new to enjoy, lol. Now I gotta be at work in 4 hrs and i'm gonna be tired as hell :| EDIT: Well I suppose if all else fails I could always install a lite desktop environment just to run eosource from. I don't use it for much else right now, anyways. I did try running a minecraft server from it but it ate up too much bandwidth and cpu, lol. We ended up getting a paid minecraft server. I also occasionally host Terraria too. I think i'm stretching myself a little thin sometimes..

| ![]() You won't be able to run eosource or vodka using mono. Mono is a tool you can use to run .NET applications. The only server emulator you can run using mono is Beemu#, but I don't recommend it because it doesn't support most features. To run Vodka or eosource on Linux you need Wine. I can confirm, that Vodka works on Wine because I've tested it some time ago.

| ![]() Ok thank you for that, you just saved me some time from fooling with a fail attempt at the mono approach. I figured it could possible be a .net application since it is coded in c++. I've used mono to run things other than just asp in the past. But i'll just install X on the server and wine it up instead. :D
