What ever happened to having signatures?
I remember you used to be able to have signatures that would show up under every post you make.
What ever happened to those? They were awesome :P

I don't like signatures, they just waste space imo.

Off-topic but sure.
They were removed because of fags abusing it.

Re: What ever happened to having signatures?
That's probably why they were removed, but many many forums allow signatures, and people never complain about them taking up too much space. And you can read the threads just fine. That's why there is a size limit to your signature.

Re: What ever happened to having signatures?
Personally, I want to see signatures reintroduced to EOSERV in the next major revision. Perhaps in a reduced font size (the equivalent of size 1 or 2) and with a maximum of three lines of text. Usually that's sufficient to give everyone the option of a signature without giving anyone the option
to abuse it. ---

Probably 2-3 lines of text would be great.
Just enough room for quotes etc. :)
Wasn't them deleted, because of server advertising?
Personally I hate those half page big pictures about your name... "Yeah, wow, I know that you are this guy"

And with proper moderation, any foul signatures could be removed by a moderator, and the poster can be banned from having signatures for any amount of time. Signatures rule ;)
@miksu: You should be able to advertise a server in your signature..
As long as it isn't some BIG ASS ADVERTISEMENT.
And size rules for adding signatures won't allow you to put a "big ass advertisement" anyways. :P
So your gonna get mad for seeing a server advertised? OH NOEZ I CAN'T STAND THAT SERVER BEING ADVERTISED IN THAT GUY'S SIG. REMOVE SIGS >:O
Foul language and inappropriate content should be required to be removed, not harmless server advertisements..

Giving moderator privileges to edit profile fields in the database, even via script isn't something that any webhost really wants to do.

So you don't think a Remove Sig, or Ban Sig, button wouldn't be addable for moderators?

People would just re-do their signature, because they are that childish. ---

I wanna bet they'd make a new account only for the signature, second of all, it's extra work, people dislike to have an extra function to take care of. ---
