Post #70276 It's sad that guy wasted 30.00$ for a remote desktop app.

Sadly, i agree. My father got one from work for his Christmas bonus this year, he was pissed. The one and only thing he uses it for is netflix...

That's pretty cool. but looks a bit hard to control. But its better than no app at all.

Pro's:

-It can support EO.
-It's basically a computer and does anything a computer does.
-Also available on iPhone/iPod touch.

Con's:

-It costs 30$ to buy it on App Store (Unless you have your iPhone/iPod/iPad jailbroken)
-A bit hard to control.
-Lag, but useable.
-You need to have your PC on for it to be used (obviously).
-If it's a laptop you need to have it opened.
-I don't think Adobe works.

o_O... Adobe works. It's just a VNC Client to your desktop which hosts a VNC Server. It basically as the computer is normally just laggy due to update times being slow over a 54Mb/s transfer speed cap unless you are running on a wireless N network, or a 3.6Mb/s cap if you are using 3G.

I agree with plasmastar and divine.

The ipad is a pointless device. To me its simply an oversized ipod touch. And a very awkward size at that.

People claim that ipads (or tablets in general) will replace laptops. But this is bullshit.

Unless companies like apple and google can find a way to reduce the physical size of RAM, hard drives and processors etc by a huge amount to fit larger specs into the smaller size of the tablets, they wont ever have a chance against a proper computer.

The new ipad 2 has something like 512 mb of ram if im correct. Imagine still having that on a laptop? My desktop from 10 years ago has 512mb of ram. my 3gb laptop cost less than a 512mb ipad costs.

Fuck that shit. waste of time and money.

Why would you pay 30$ for an app, that you can get for free.... http://teamviewer.com Just puttin that out there. And also, it's pretty pointless if you need a PC to play EO on the ipad anyway, you might aswell just play it on the PC... XD
