You must not be familiar with the internet tradition of announcing who got the "get" of a certain post number (as in 100, 1000, 11111, 22222, etc) it's really big on some forums. And no I did not take offence to what you posted.

I'm familiar with it, I'm just aware that it's total spam and annoying.

If it bothers you that much, don't read it. Some people enjoy benchmarking their post count, and setting goals for the next benchmark. Almost like they're challenging themselves, and if they enjoy it, why not? It's completely harmless, and a moderator will let him know otherwise.

What's more annoying? Someone that is easily pleased by their own activities or somebody that has to stop someone from enjoying themselves over a harmless activity? :)
