It makes perfect sense. What's so difficult to understand about a server called "Overhaul", that we know for a fact has been used for maintenance purposes, being unfit for public use? Like I said, just because it's online doesn't mean we're welcome to access it.
When it gets rolled into the main server, then it'll be officially open. Until then, no.

If it was not intended for public consumption ( along with the fact it is open,) then the server registrations would still be locked out like they were before. They didn't just magically open up to allow people to log in. Think.

It doesn't mean anything. Registrations may be open, it could very easily still be a private test-bed. Perhaps it's intended for small numbers or specific players only. Those players still have to register somehow.
There's so many possibilities here to be considered. It's not I or the majority of the staff that aren't considering them. It's you guys that need to see this from every possible angle before making any formal judgement.
Oh, and for those that are wondering or have asked... this topic is being reviewed as we speak.
