I didn't complain when Sausage, Addison and Scott hacked into my site and put gay porn all over it. I simply asked Sausage where the exploit was and fixed it. (Boy that was fun aye guys :P)

We were secure, it's just that an application we added to our website had a lot of coding bugs in it that we weren't aware of.  Sausage was nice enough to let us know and to have us remove it before anything worse happened.  It was an unexpected issue that would have neverhappenedotherwise.

That's because Sausage does help people. He likes to mess with things whilst he's in there though LOL. You should still encrypt the passwords. Even mine was in there :/ Lucky I trust Sausage

Passwords were unencrypted to allow us to return them to players if they forgot them.  But now that we have a Recovery System, I'm pretty sure we're able to encrypt them now without too much of a problem.

Haha nice one sausage! Why the fuck didn't Ele add password hashing to his server? I mean seriously, Wtf!? I guess Ele deserved what he got basically because such a security flaw shouldn't have been created in the first place, especially when simple password hashing already comes with eoserv; Oh, and I guess the fact that hes an douche counts too. God knows what he does with those passwords.

Right now I would love to say-

It is cuz it was popular? That's the same as asking; "Is it because I is black?" Which makes no sense. Normally the person controlling the server is the one being hated, not FE itself. If you're using raw passwords to "controll" your players, than you sure got something unconnected in your brain.Ialso thought passwords are a term of privacy and aren't allowed to be leaked. If so, than the server owner is responsible.

Where do you get "control" your player via raw passwords?  Ele doesn't even converse with the in-game community, hardly if at all. /sigh

Yeah, it would be smart to change all of your passwords on a regular basis anyway.

If you got someones password than you basically can have control over more than just his FE account. Are you that stupid or do I need to spell it for you? Most people link things to their email, use the same password and poof. We have seen that Elevations uses other peoples emailes. So either learn to read and get your fact straights, than breathing air in my face. Kthanksbye.

I remember when FE crashed us and exploited bugs in our server when we reached 65+ online everyday in 2008-2009 sometime. Eventually we had to wipe the database because he caused that much damage and then everybody left, in which we struggled after that to get back our player base and our server just died. Not to mention the art that he stole from us, back when nobody could be bothered to use rena's map editor he stole all our hard work, he advertised constantly on our server telling people that his was better because ours was crashing, and to join his server which he claimed to be secure. 

I have a lot of reasons, perhaps a lot more than anyone else here, to hate this motherfucking dicksucking daddy-ass-crack-licking fat ugly bastard of a retarded recluse.

I severely fucking hope he does not come back.

Elevations does think highly of himself. If you look at their credits page, he decided to put his name under every category and then even make a huge heading to mention he was the owner. I would've thought onetime was enough :/

I'm not sure if I can agree with you in this statement. Elevations didn't do anything to Sausage except leave EOSERV so he wouldn't get attacked anymore. Sausage just saw an oppurtunity to attack Elevations and did so. Elevations might be a dousche, but I don't think that deserves Sausage attacking him. (I could understand Chaosdog, Plasmastar, or Jimmyee since he hosts DOX's about them; He's just asking for it there.)

People use passwords for multiple things on the internet. What ele has done is wrong. Plain and simple.

If you simply reverse this, then you would get "Trent and Jimmyee shouldn't have tried crashing other people's servers and trolling around, they got what they deserved by Ele storing their passwords."

i have read alot about this but i don't get why you hacked it. It must of been a good reason, But i only played it once and its just like any athere server but with rude ass admins.
