I just recieved this e-mail earlier from clive, exactly as he wrote it.

If this is true, then i'm fucking spewing considering the circumstances. I banned Clive last week, who then proceeded to speak to Plasmastar requesting my home IP address, presumably for a denial of service attack. Ignoring the fact my IP address is dynamic (and therefore changes constantly), I still defused the situation by meeting an agreement with Clive and requesting the ban be lifted based on the grounds that he hadn't been involved in any kind of exploits for a reasonable amount of time.

Now this comes to light.

Someone has some explaining to do if this report actually holds credibility.

He has been attacking my server as well (God knows why, no one is ever online anymore.) I gave in and shut it down, because it was interfering with my SQL server and causing severe lag on my higher priority server applications.

How is he doing it? Is it just an account creating bot? check the Ips. If all the ips are the same, a simple fix for this would be to only allow 2 account creations a day.

If its not; What I would do is, if an account has 0 characters created for longer then 12hours, Delete the account. Or send a validation email to that email address prior to creating an actual account, ie. only one email per account etc. This requires programming know-how and most likely a custom client or a new client itself, but there both a necessary requirement for server management.

that is me yeah and no lol not because your tiny source but read the fuck what you said about me in those topics you shouldn't switch the story with your "source" that was only because i wanted to fix the bugs for you but after that you was scolding at me but i wasn't even crashing your server that was a polak lol.. and for the fix go to the eoserv forums so yeah have attacked bu but i'm sure francuz attack was a week ago so why does he fcking repeat it every time. i'm sure i haven't attacked any servers in the last 4 day except bone's since he asked for it. i don't know how many topics these people have to make but what do you want? you got the fix in another topic and you haven't been attacked anymore sounds to be good enough.

after a conversation with anger i've told him how to fix the bug and stopped crashing bu since i'm not THAT bad :P so i guess this is all over now xD.
