Note: When its doing syntax checking brackets and semicolons do not matter to it. The reason being for this is when it's re-saved it'll fill in the brackets and semicolons itself by default. Therefore it focuses on the bigger errors since the brackets and semicolons will always be flawlesswhen re-saved.


Features

  • (Added in v0.1.0) Create/Remove/Edit States
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Create/Remove/Edit Actions (Double Click Items To Edit)
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Create/Remove/Edit Rules (Double Click Items To Edit)
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Actions & Rules requiring state to goto has a drop down list of all states in the script
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Actions & Rules states update on state name change
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Preview Script
  • (Added in v0.1.0) Save File
  • (Added in v0.1.0) If anything has been edited it'll prompt to save on application exit
  • (Added in v0.2.0) Actions & Rules have a index within parentheses next to them. Read the Actions & Rules Indexing portion of this post to understand.
  • (Added in v0.2.0) Open/Read/Debug EO+ Scripts.
  • (Added in v0.2.0) Output detailed errors when reading including line number when appropriate.
  • (Added in v0.2.0) Hotkeys for Open(Ctrl+O), Preview(Ctrl+P), Save(Ctrl+S).

Actions & Rules Indexing
This was created to help keep notice what is before or after what. For instance if you add a action per say "AddNpcInput" then you add a rule per say "InputNpc" then add a action per say "AddNpcChat" xD this would result in:
(0) AddNpcInput
(1) InputNpc
(2) AddNpcChat
Except in the script writer they are in their appropriate listbox. It helps you keep in order what will be put where when the script is generated.

2 Flaws ~ Thanks to AustinB of Eoserv forums these are now fixed.
1) When you set rule GotItems, the amount is automatically set to 0, even if you put a different number. (if i put 5 for amount, it always comes up as 0 when i view the preview/save it)
2) When you set action GiveItems, you aren't allowed to set the amount of the items, you have to open it up in a text editor and place the amount yourself..

If someone doesn't have the effort to grasp the EO+ syntax they could still make quests. Also if someone has a tendency to make typos or something of that nature this eliminates that to almost every extent. On the other hand i concur that writing it from scratch may be faster for most, but i guess its nice to have a option for the others who find it a bit more difficult. :) Also v0.2.0 will be useful for those who want a way to per say debug their script, as it'll be able to point out mistakes it sees when reading the script. That could be useful if the person writing the script isn't running the server so they don't have another way to test it out for syntax flaws. Overall this is just another option for those who want to use it.

Thanks for the details I will definitely look into getting that corrected. I'm possibly looking at v0.2.0 being out tomorrow or the day after depends how much trouble I run into.

Very promising work, from a very talented person. I am sure that program will reduse the quest questions on forum, and is ideal for lazy people. I personally type the quests, but i am sure i ll give it a try. Might be better. If you dont try, you cant be sure.

But i have a not so relative question about it. Ok that program help you write quests, but most revisions dont support quests, or they run them wrong. Please correct me if i am wrong, because i think only vodka can run quests right. i would apreciate if someone tell me another rev that runquests. Ty.


Edit: by changing the quest's version, is there any diference? How that works?

Addison released the Eo+ Quest system here which with the proper knowledge could be easily implemented by anybody. So this is for those who have the EO+ Quest system in their server and choose to use it. :)
