To answer your question eochibi, there isn't any automatic consequence for an excessive number of negatives. Moderators may use the rating score to determine who has been a problem in the past, but not very often since we usually choose to assess users on a post-by-post basis. The only thing it
really provides is a method for staff to issue comments to users as necessary, but once it gets past that stage we need to moderate as per usual.
