Re: The Apollo Error
Of course it is clear enough for me to understand.. I was just saying I don't see how you think I'm a douche when I was just trying to help someone and said he was being a douche for starting arguments...

Re: The Apollo Error
This place both saddens and disappoints me. It's like policing a series of schoolyard fights. Don't worry though, i'm not talking about the people in this thread. Not at all. I'm talking about quite a few people across the entire forum.
A dictatorship huh? Hitler? Mussolini? How about we level this playing field then. If you have any questions, comments or legitimate concerns directed to the moderation staff, then each member of staff has contact information on their profile pages, myself included. As members of staff we're
obliged to respond, unless you send though something completely stupid, in which case it will be automatically routed to the trash.
In return I challenge community members here to remember that we encourage development, and those that don't develop are more than welcome to contribute in other ways. Bug reports are likewise encouraged. As such crude, unnecessary or pointless additions to threads must be avoided completely.
This includes the age old term "use the search". I would suggest avoiding any words that can be seen as being in poor taste when referencing another user. This includes "douche" and "faggot". If you guys can honestly pull this off, i'll be pleasantly surprised.
Until then, mods here are required to be the way we are. Myself, Plasmastar, Kenobi13, Apollo, Addison and whoever else I forgot have no choice but to have this approach to you guys, and threads like this one don't help the situation in the slightest. I understand there is currently a dispute
and attitude issue between several members at the moment and this is an issue which will be looked into, but I do ask that you work with us for now as we at least try to keep this place running relatively smoothly.

I suppose I failed to mention one thing. The comment you received was in fact a bit of sarcasm playing on your own words. Let me quote you:
"Try staying on topic and not being such a douche to the people trying to help..."
While the entire thread was pointless, it did have a topic. Many people visit forums for information, and many visit the forums simply to troll (pretty much the lounge section). I should remind you that things are way more laid back than if Sordie and Scott were still here to moderate these
forums. In the thread you posted in, I tried to basically give the thread a fix and put it all to rest, but that wouldn't do. At the point when you posted, you began the name calling and directing the attention of the thread even further away from the topic.
With that said and the intent of the comment fully explained, please leave the moderation to moderators and refrain from any unnecessary name calling.

Re: The Apollo Error
That is alot more reasonable, I just didn't understand how you could possibly think I was a douche, for telling someone to stop making senseless arguments about a harmless post. Also I didn't call him a douche I said he was *being* a douche, which is quite a big difference.
Either than that I understand I was off topic and probably shouldn't have said anything, but it's annoying seeing someone thats trying to help get bashed by someone who is *acting* stupid.
Thanks for clearing things up a bit more though.

Re: The Apollo Error
Everyone has opinions of different people.
Apollo has done, well for himself. I never actually "met" him but he seems like a reasonable guy.
Anyway, EoServ forums has turned out to be something that Sausage wasn't trying to achieve. This place was suppose to help people on the development of their servers.
I think the goal of EoServ was to give people a chance to bring back EO in a new form and so that the EO Community can 1 day enjoy EO again.
Sausage didn't abandon the EoServ Project. He just reached his ideal limit.
To ME: Apollo server is the closest to being the original. Not because he has original staff members to help him. Because he actually is attempting..he is attempting to bring back EO in a NEW FORM. So, everyone can <3 it
again.
FE:
FE is a good server and I think can probably 1 of the best. But Elevations...has a problem. Like seriously, I am not sure what it is..and if I did I would not state it.
BU:
Never tried it, played it, or anything of that matter.
In The End:
We should all just try to bring back the idealistic EO and EoServ Community.

EOServ's moderators = dictators.
i.e. Hitler (without the jew killing part).
Fidel Castro (Cuba)
Benito Mussoilini (Italy)
and any other dictators.
Either learn to live by their rules or get a bullet up your ass/ in your head (banned or -1'd)
Here goes a few more reasons.
1. No reason to fight back.
2. No one on the internet is right or wrong, it's the internet.
3. Again, it's Apollo. That's how he speaks. If he says you're a douche deal with it.
4. It's just a forum. Big deal. You got called a douche on the internet. Personally I'd be happy.
5. Yes you were going off topic.
6. No need to defend him. He could have easily defended himself.
7. You're defending a person who you don't even know.
8. Be helpful.
9. Stay on topic.
10. Post this under lounge. This in no way belongs in client editing.
11. Now you're probably gonna get called an idiot for replying.
Laughed at ur reason 8. He was being helpful.. To Klutz XD
