So recently i've been working on a server.  And i only get about 2 players(a day).  And i loose interest in bothering to put work into it anymore.

So, post what you would like to see on a EOserver.  Like something that would make u want to play this server.

Just post your interesting ideas =D (like coding for example)

Something that is not so much an eoserver as it is a remake of EO, done from much more than just eoserv or seose code and random patchwork.

Go play a few, maybe 20-30 other rpg's. Most of them have everything an rpg will ever need.

Don't even think about creating an mmorpg private server if you don't know what to do with it.

well something not following the others like an oringinal something moderatly challanging no need for client but something where u are not lvl 100 in seconds no need for fishing harvesting mining cooking etc even the servers with nothing like that on them are still entertaining but no one cares about that its all compatition these days but thats my point of view

 client  sum time  gets to lag but at the same time it lookzz cool 

i guess a simple server would be cool although it should have its own map

None abusive staff, that do there job instead of doing something else.

Like most people do don't add pets and all the other dam features work on crafts maps and drops.. and maybe a client also add features over time don't just put them all together.

#1 Admin staff - friendly, no control freaks, they listen to players feedback, they dont' stalk u on hide and pray u do something wrong so they can type the jail command and have an orgasm.

#2 Maps - awesome, interesting, well thought out maps that keep u exploring.

#3 Stats, drops, crafts that are not so easy u are done in a week and got nothing else to do but level.

#4 Social stuff like quests, events, shops, guilds  and places where people can hangout and chill.  Stuff that keeps u coming back to say hi.

Our server supports everything except quests.

...and the events are rarely :P

Anyways, the biggest problem on private servers are admins; they play the game and control it with the same character. Also, they shouldn't help if players don't require it.

We opened up two days ago and we have a average of 7+ players..

we don't have quests or pets.. well we are going to add pets..

But the Picture is that features don't make a good server.

In my opinion after hosting servers for over a year now, The most people that i have come accross bassicly want to own your server straight away,

Its simple what making everybody an admin does to your popularity,,

People just want to be better than everybody else, its making people jelous that makes people play a server and stay on it,

Little key things like having a massive pet, or hitting a lot higher than somebody else is what people enjoy,

OK ;D thanks for the answers, i have a basic idea on what im going to do.  My other server had 32 custom maps.  If anyone would like, ill release them on the "Artists" category.?
