you should be able to delete replys on your own topic's.

As sausage been said, why delete stuff on your own if you only need to post when its useful..

If its useless then dont post.

If users could delete replies on topics they started, they could very easily remove posts they disagree with, leading to a very one-sided topic that's biased towards the OP's preference. It doesn't really make for good discussion, for the most part.
