Something else you need to consider here. If a person creates a thread titled "how do I configure EOSERV" (for example) and gets a thread full of "Use Search" replies, what do you think someone that's actually searching for that information will find?
They'll find those threads, with the right title, and nothing but "Use Search" as an answer.
So they post up a new thread.
And get told to "Use Search" once again.
Thus the vicious cycle continues.
At the end of the day guys, you're signed up to EOSERV forums to receive assistance and also to give assistance in return. Telling someone to use the search function not only doesn't help them, but it also hurts everyone that's actually trying to search later on down the track as they find
thread after thread of useless replies and unanswered topics. Sometimes it's better to just give an answer to a simple question or link to a thread that you know already has the solution, at least that way future users will be able to actually find what they're looking for when they need it.
