When i first hosted my first server, it was seose.  Because i was a 'newb at this stuff'.  But then as the days went on, i started to gain confidence and i felt a private server(EOSERV) would be a good spot to start with.  Its been 1 year since i started with eoserv, and i've developed my C++ skills as well as website design.

so, no, i do not think private servers are a '''FAIL"" and your absolutly wrong that 'private servers' are a fail.

I saw eoserv as a good spring board, now im very interested in the programming world.  It was a good way to kinda check out what it needed to make a MMORPG, and i am fairly confident that i will take a shot at making my own.

That's what I was trying to say. You don't need a big game with custom graphics and crap to be creative. 

And, I kindof lied in my last post. It isn't true that "Endless Online Isn't Much of A Step Toward Your Own Game". It actually is. It does these things:

(1) Increases your knowledge and skills of C++

(2) Increases your knowledge and skills of pixeling

(3) Makes you believe that you can go further. 

(4) Develops teamwork skills.

And so, Private Servers are not a fail. :D

You need to think your ideas through before you post a topic. You can't just start a topic, get flamed, and then beg for it to be locked. If you don't want to be flamed you should watch your mouth.

I guess there comes a point when enough is enough. I am going to lock every topic following this one that turns into a bunch of one-on-one off-topic garbage. If you really need attention go to facebook or twitter and talk about yourself/your servers and put down others/their servers there. I honestly could care less about Q-tip or what ever his name is, what servers he is hacking, who is pissed about it, who is teh bestest hax0r, and where the guys from Monty Python hid that grail. Take your douche-baggery elsewhere. This is not the Endless Online forums.
