Private Servers = Fail
I know there is some good programmers out there & pixel artists. But the truth is:
As long as it's a private server, it's a fail.
The first step to a great "anything" is originality.
Of course, basic ideas may be copied but let's be serious. These people are clueless.

Re: Private Servers = Fail
Aslong as people have fun and like to do what they do nothing is fail.
This topic is pointless so it's also fail?

True Statement.
But improvement and advancement in
thecompany/game will eventually fall. Which concludes that Private
ServersFail.
This thread is not a fail because I
providedfacts. You have only
provideda opinion statement and other useless words that you combined to make another sentence.

Put it like this:
You try to expand your private server.
Try to make loads of dollars from it.
-Go Ahead

I didnt actually understand what you ment by this. Not all servers want money out of it.

Re: Private Servers = Fail
Not all servers want to pay $ to stay online 24/7 but they do.
Private Servers are fail because in the end...it gets no where.
I mean yeah new items, etc. But you're just running in place.

Implying Sausage is the only one making contributions to this "new game".

Your opinion is based on what you expect from eoserv, and you don't speak for everyone. Some people just wish to be creative and burn time. If you want to talk about pointless, and the specifics, pretty much everything in the world is pointless, unless you have a reason for doing such
things. ---

totally agree... Private server is a step to become better artist, coder, mapper, or whatever. to put you brain think more and not be just another player that lose 6-8 hours or more just killing stuff. You might got a talent on something. Offcourse i dont mean that playing for some hours is bad,
but some people got more creativity and want to create something, even if that is a stupit pixel costume for a private server with 5 people online. I personally dont care if my server would have a lot of people or none. I do it cause i spent my time creating something.

Re: Private Servers = Fail
This topic is virtually pointless itself. Creating an endless online private server may not be as big as making your own MMORPG game or anything, but it's one step up from spending 10 hrs at a time sitting on someone else's creation and having conversations with people you don't know. ;/ ---

I am not talking about Private Servers developing your skills..I know that.
I am talking about the private servers::
AS A GAME IT SELF.
You cannot get anywhere with a private server.
P.S. I know it's more people then Sausage but I personally wouldn't care to search them all.

Re: Private Servers = Fail
Private servers bring people together from all over the world!gives us something to do in our time of bordom, kinda like you and your post! Why wine about something you don't wish to be a part of? Why are you even here on this forum, isnt there some where you should be so you could feel like you
fit in!, I spend about 30$ a month to run my server and its well worth it. Hell i spend more than that one night at the bar, to only meet people who are idiots, want to wine and bitch"COUGH' or people i would wish to never speak to again! i agree some private server fail, but we are not doing this
tomake money or get rich from endless! its all about hanging out, maybe learning to pixle, learn some codeng, maken friends or just fN off.
A server only fails if you fail to get anything from it!
And i Have gotten many things from mine,Its a great stepping stone! Fail is not an option! or fact, its an opinion! And a small one at that!

Re: Private Servers = Fail
You could have made that short & sweet.
Yet, you typed up a big wall of text that didn't create any type of closure.
May I please, get someone sensibly to post here?

Re: Private Servers = Fail
Failure is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone's opinion is different, and mine is that as long as you get something out of anything you do, no matter how small or insignificant it is, it is not a failure unless you choose it to be.
