Why the hell do u people make servers unless u actually got 20+ players on it its worthless server if u cant get more then 20 just shut it all down JESUS CHRIST!!!!!! i swear u guys just make server and then in 20 minutes its down and then u put it back up and 0-1 player is online ^.~

Well I could ask you the same thing why would you make this topic? But here is your answer it takes time to get 20+ players considering this is a small community people can't just turn on the server and it magically has 20 people on it. Hard work in fixing bugs and special things that set the server apart that is what helps it go forward.

No seriously, some of the servers just use the latest public rev, add some shitty graphics and then rename their game 20 times a week to try and give the idea of a new server. It's quite obvious and one would have to be a complete retard to not know that they just renamed it... again.

its that fact that ppl just make it and shut it down and then put it back up then hey got like 2 people on it then they shut it down then they update it then like klutz said rename it cuz they cant fucking get a good server >.> And people that have had there server up for over 2-5 weeks still aint got hardly any people the only servers i see succeding a little bit is BU FE & Eosep..

Well I know some of us (me) just do it for fun. I'm not expecting to get alot of ppl if any at all. I just find it fun messing with the gfx/maps. But thats just my opinion on it, but I also don't have the snl enabled on mine full time because of this..

Yes I gotta tell u that for me, Make's server is just a place to chill with Make and friends.  We started out with an awesome mapper, Make, but have no coder so we had to stay on seose while maps were done and try out stats and drop rates, etc.  Make is learning eoserv and that server is not on sln but he has made huge progress so, when it opens up it will have a lot of the quests and pets and stuff players want.

When u start out and u dont have all the skills right there, u need time to learn them and that challenge in itself is a lot of fun for people like us.  I had to learn Gimp from scratch and it has taken me a while to get the software down and the poses and the shading and I'm probably the slowest pixeler but I totally enjoy doing it on my free time.  Completely oblivious to the number of players in the server or who is on top or w/e - to me, sharing time in the server with Make is bliss. 

I think it depends on what u want out of the game.
