because it's kinda useless? I mean in my opinion this doesn't mean anything Like i mean you can actually only talk about this if you really made a game. anyways let's get back on topic again ;p instead of beggin you/me off.
You're right, back on topic. Personally I don't think having made a game is a prerequisite, just like there's some people who have made games in the past but you wouldn't trust their advice, ever. A lot of what I wrote in the original post isn't based on running a game, it's based on running a
game
studio. It's information about the development process released for reference by companies like Blizzard and Maxis as an idea of what they have to do before they release a new game.
Whether you consider Maxis or Blizzard reliable sources of information on how to make a game is another story. Perhaps you'd rather trust Sausage, Rena or Syran on this, and that's fine, they've all had experience in this as well. It doesn't seem like such a bad idea though, at the very least,
to post this info up and let the team judge for themselves as to what they think of it.
As I said, i'm not issuing out tasks or handing out orders here, that'll be up to whoever decides to make the game. As a very basic outline of what to expect though, and an example of the kind of teamwork and collaboration that will be involved between members, it's good enough for now and
it's something to get the ideas going. It's up to everyone else to then do their usual thing and make it happen.
