Re: why is every one leaving
Heres all I have to say... This has come to my head multiple times...
Elevation started out as shit... then rose to dominate the SNL now Bones Underground took that spot... (Which is awesome!)
And also Ele you are some fat ass who spent a little TOO long on the computer... the doctors say its good to spend maybe 1-2 hours a day on a computer.. which you spent atleast like 10 or more hours prob... I mean who has time to pixel items and do all the rest.... Many people hate you and well
lets see your server sucks now...(Pointing out Obvious)

Assuming the community organizes itself. Which is going to be near impossible.

Agreed.
This will be the topic that ruined any remaining hope of us coming together to actually achieve something remotely decent. EOSERV, like EOHax and the Endless Online community that preceded it are completely incapable of working together in any way shape or form. Hell, i'm surprised some of you
can even breathe sometimes.
I think I, among others here, will suggest you pack up and start looking elsewhere if you're after a game or project that has a future.

Re: why is every one leaving
Yes, it is a good idea to re-create Endless-Online but honestly EOSERV doesn't seem right for it.... I was thinking if they do use a server get Rena is on this because she can be very helpful among quests' and much, much more...

Re: why is every one leaving
Well honestly from an outside view point being I am semi-new hear and do not post much. I am under the opinion that many people here can not get along and would fight, but there are pockets of those who are willing to work together. Those of us willing to work may not be the best and the
brightest granted. I can not speak for anyone else and will not do so.
I am willing to work with a team who is willing to put their major differences aside for the greater cause of making a game.
As well so what if we fail in the end? What matters is we tried, if we fail we fail and we walk away a little smarter and more experienced. We know we gave it a shot and did not succeed but we can be proud that we did give it a shot.
On the flip side, What IF we succeed? Then hurray our time and efforts paid off in full and we put out a game for people to enjoy. There is nothing wrong with this. Do we have do be the biggest and the best game out there. No we wont, and honestly we wont be. We are a group of unpaid
programmers, artist, etc putting out a free game. We can not compete against many of the true mmo companies and games out there. Does not mean we should not try.
To all the nay sayers out there, you have made your point and its your opinion. Its the real world, and the internet every one has an opinion and is welcome to it. BUT just because you don't agree that it will work you don't have to try to convince those who want to give it a shot, that they
will fail and should not even start.
I think thats all I have to say right now on this.

ow well.. actually the idea isn't that bad but how to make a good team for it? it's impossible to work together with everyone that replied to this topic ofcourse they can help with ideas etc. also i really don't like the sound of making it open source. i would maybe work together with you people
but i won't share my source to other people, Because! if we do that there will be AGAIN private servers that also was a part that ruined EO main. so in my opinion don't share the source just keep it to the people who made it. also actually we don't need a new website or something we could post this
everything in 1 topic and add the updates to it etc..
well i actually want to work on it but.. first i an other project that must be done first ( client for FE) but i actually never see this happen since who will be the one that actually starts working on it?

Re: why is every one leaving
For Noob people, they are leaving because they can't set up their server
For middle people, like me, if they leave, it because they bored of set up or they are busy in their real life
for moderator and high level people like Scott, Addison, Apollo,... it is because the the admin doesn't care about the program anymore.
I, myself, i think im gonna leave soon if Seose doesn't come with quest and my NPC keep stop working.
Vult-r, the admin of Endless online, have quit develope the game. People in Endless online probably move in the New EO, which is fallen evolution and Bones Underground. EO is dead, Eoserv is winner, BU and FE is leader, EO is noob.

We're going to have to get over personal issues with users and get over our own selfish natures if this is going to work. Sblord contact me please.
@jackryder: FE and BU don't have all of mains players rofl.

I see the point here and for the most part agree with it. If we choose to release the code as open source it would have to be under a strict license. We don't want to split the project off into too many independent game servers at this early stage and "fragment" the potential market for this game.
Source on request? It may not be such an issue if we provide the source code to those who actually need it rather than just handing it out to every random that comes our way.
