Re: why is every one leaving
I agree with SbLord, on a lot of things he has mentioned.
IF this project gets off the ground we will most likely need a new forum section to post work, discuss projects assign sections and section leaders.
No one should get a fast pass into adminship and as he said being an admin is not fun and games its hard work and very little interaction with the world.
I personally enjoy map making and am getting fairly good at and will be better the more I do.

True Baron but skill cant really be based on how long your server has lasted lol To What Sblord said about building new game from ground up that sounds like a lot of work but completely doable i think if we do decide to make an mmo we should build a 3d mmo because those are the kinds of mmo's
getting attention these days. I think if we could manage to start this project the turnout could be amazing!

I couldn't resist one last visit; to Find that It takes Scott and Sephiroth leaving to make people want to work together and save EO.
It's rather strange that the human social disposition requires laying waste to one generation in the development of another.
It's actually entertaining to see a better generation of people willing to save EO rather than hack it to bits and lay ruins to it. It seems apparent to me that, although, you may have the will of many. Without the will of everyone attempting to save the community, and someone (like sausage) who
has the authority and control to make it happen, you are quite short of a resource that seems rather necessary for an incredible task.
Ofcoarse if you want my opinion on where to start with the revival, you could always brutally murder elevations with an axe, chop him into small bits n' chunks, and mail him to a relative for the holidays. Tis the season to spread joy, so thats a hopeful gift to me.

I really don't know what you guys are trying to save. These forums are still active, and there's plenty of private servers. Talking about it on this forum isn't going to make it seem any better to you, in my opinion this whole thread is just leeches crying out because nothing decent has
beenreleased in a while to keep you guys up to date with the most recent stuff.
EO doesn't need saving, and there is plenty of stuff still being produced. If it means so much to you guys start "doing" something about it.
@Sblord: Yes I understood you fully. And I agree with many of the points you have made. But creating a new forum thread under the current ones isn't gonna make a difference at all. If you want to wait around for a pointless forum thread then by all means wait, but that's not helping the
"apparent" situation. Although I think there's nothing to worry about, there's plenty of great ideas going about just not everyone has the time to pro-actively work on them.

This. I am amused to see everyone who destroyed EO now trying to save it. We caused this, and now we must pay the price. That's how it has always been.
As for a leader, honestly (and I mean no offense by this), but how do you believe Sausage would have the authority and control to run such a project? Yes, he does an excellent job keeping these forums clean, but other than that, how can you judge his true leadership skills?
And Terry, what do you mean, these forums are still active? From what they were when I first joined the EOHax society, these are now a ghost town. Once upon a time, we had a friendly and helpful community. Now you have all these people trying to suck the Mods' dicks by "enforcing the rules" with
their spam. You have people who ask for help and when they don't get the exact type of help they wanted (someone doing it for them), but instead someone telling them how to do it themselves, they insult each other. This is not how it used to be. Everyone is leaving because there is no longer a
point in staying here. The only reason I'm staying is out of habit of visiting, and I still feel an obligation to help out here. Even if official EO can't be repaired (which will never happen), I can attempt to help build a replacement for it. Isn't that what we were trying to do together anyways?
Wasn't that the original goal of the entire EOSERV project as well?
If you want so badly to save EO by recreating it, then let's do it. Let's all put aside our differences for good and work together to save what we can while it's still up. I am willing to put the effort into one last stand for EO. And I invite all of you to join me. Terry, if you could find it
in you to work with me again, on one final project, I would be honored.

The problem is that we don't work like a team. We have a community of Programmers, Artists, Web Developers, etc.. but we aren't organized enough to work on something together.
