i dont get it why its a nice thing going on a good hobbie and great game that can be saved if its by the right person

Because nobody is willing to put in the necessary work to "save" it, and the members are moving on to new things as a result.

I still think we'll have one last shot at it going into 2011, following that we'd probably be better of starting something completely new.

If i had the knowledge to continue the work i would endless online and eo servers have been a hobby of mine and this is the site that made it possible i would hate to see it go down

i hate to see it go down as well all the work that it took to build it up and now its going to die lets be smart this time and not let eoserv.net die like test and main

I have a question if i or someone was willing to save this forum what do you think wed have to do to keep it up and continue this work

If the EOSERV community is really that dedicated, i reckon the only thing //might// save the forum from becoming derelict is a brand new game platform. We're already half way there with the clients that are supposedly being developed as well as the server to go along side. Without the input of the community, the forum won't be as active as anyone would like it. and as sblord has already said, people are moving onto bigger things. The only thing that would make this big is if it had diversity to become whatever you wanted it to providing you were good enough at programming.

i think we should use this post as the time to save the eoserv forum and to think of ideas to save eo  from the destruction its going though in main and test and private servers 

Honestly, it's too late to save EO. Private servers are becoming more and more competitive, and no one wants to help anyone anymore. Everyone here helped in the destruction of EO, first in abusing hacks and duping items until EO was unplayable, and then in drawing players away from it with your servers.

i really want to help so i taken the liberty of hosting one of the servers as a private server so which one would u guys want main or test ether one i will make with vodka and host it

Like you said EO is dead but that doesnt mean we cant save Eo Private servers

Everyone keeps making servers thinking that's whats going to save this project but truthfully making new private servers wont help what we need to do is find some one or some people to further the work of eoserv i would be interested in taking on this project with a group of people

Take a look through 189's source (clean). There's plenty to clean up, note Sausages comments in lots of the files "// need to clean up".

People seem to miss the point.. there's a lot that needs to be done before you can progress.

great idea farther develop eoserv and i would like to help if i could code but i cant =(
