I just think it's funny that we've progressed hundreds or thousands of years already, with almost every living being on this planet having a fighting instinct to survive. We got this far with instincts, so apparently now the entire world must give up it's strongest nature to progress further
iswhat you're trying to say? Save it for your imagination where it matters most :)
The world doesn't care for change when it's done well enough so far.
I too believe that fighting should be avoided to an extent, for instance: I'm against chastising children. But that's only because it was done to me extensively for minor reasons. I believe reasoning with someone is the best way to resolve an issue because of my past. That doesn't mean that'sthe
answer, it's how I've grown and been forced to learn.
I've also learned that it is necessary to be a strong defender to protect those who have no will to fight for themselves, as it is quite apparent some people just aren't willing to fight. And I don't hold it against them, I just believe that it's near impossible to NOT
fight, when it's sewed into our blood. Someone has to do the dirty work.
Even if a kid goes to tell a teacher he's getting beat by other kids, and that teacher contacts parents. Then that kids parents contact the police, and the police step in, what happens is because of the LAW and we certainly didn't obtain laws without
fighting. The reason you can actually "ignore & tell someone about it" today is because of people that FOUGHT.
So, in this essence, if the kid who was fighting was doing it to protect a friend, and the enemy in question has learned a lesson or now has reason to stay away or turn his attention elsewhere, I believe the winner is the defender.
edit: you really want something to debate?
When I was little (around 6) I was playing in the front yard, when my older bro (around 9) turned up covered from head to toe in his own blood. The boys he had been playing with had hit him over the head with a rock, over a disagreement in some game they were playing. I was terrified, I thought
he was going to die. Seconds after the ambulance had left to rush him into intensive care, I took a large rock from my yard, and stalked the boys. I found them, and immediately found the largest, most intimidating one. When I was close enough, I hit him in the back of the head, hospitalizing him
for more than 3 months. No one where we lived ever bullied us again. Debate that.
