Yeah Lewis Ur compiled rev dont have a pub items.ini and class.ini etc

then make a file called items.ini and class.ini and put it into your pub file

ahh, sorry. When I removed the pub files I just deleted and remade the pub folder. I'll fix it now and re-upload.

you will get that because of the quest thing like he said, and do u get that problem where u log in and everything is invisable??? if not can u tell me why?

You get that because u have to redo ur pub files. But since there in .ini form u gata start from scratch i managed to get the server up with some items and npcs.


Just follow the guide the new pub files say. Its quite easy but time comsuming.

could you upload urs? because i hate starting from scratch and is there ANY way of making it normal pubfiles or will i haft to use the ini ones???

Yes, I've transferd the pubs back into regular pubs, but I obviously haven't funny finished, because the maps/npcs are black besides my character.


Addison, you should tell us now to fully transfer.

I didn't find anything in the source, but I think I missed a section.


NOTE: Those who are using the.inis for pubs, for the icon # just open the regular pubs in pub editor and you can get the icon #.

ye i made them in to regular pubs  in the config but the items dident work but i could see my character and the maps fucked up ;p

It wont work if u put reg eo pubs cuz the server doesnt read the pubs anymore it reads them from the inis cuz the eodata.cpp only reads the inis and ive tested this a few times i even tried to make it read the reg pubs again but its a bit tricky because u have to edit alot u have to make the server read shops.ini/drops.ini and other stuff so i suggest just using the inis the server provides and just work from there thats how i am doing im close to finishing my pub files.

Funny, I just looked in eodata.cpp and found nothing to do with Pubs nor Inis.

Scroll down to c how the items are read it should all be there it should have all the info or u can just check world.cpp and u will c its all read in the inis
