I wanted to take screen shots too but thought nah fuck it 'my compuertars wrong'. My computer has higher specs than yours and I have similar logs in my process manager. I'll just stick to eomap2, which has like hmm maybe 4-5 less features but somehow runs perfectly, not even the slightest bit oflagor lack of response or freezing.

If that's what works for you why not :P I'm sorry this doesn't happen to work for you.

You would rather dismiss the issue? the simple fact is, you must of changed something for it to have such a different output than before.

I want to understand why the loading is so different from Sausages software, it looks no different and all you have done is edit /add stuff?

If your not interested in fixing some seriously flaw you made from a previous version then I'm sure this entire '3.0' release is pointless. What's the point in posting a release in a public thread if you're only gonna dismiss peoples issues.

I'm still trying to figure out why you felt the need to claim a whole new version, when it's not, it's just some updated features. It should be called 2.1 or 2.2 unstable release instead of claiming glory like you've just gone and bested Sausage or something. 

Sorry but I think it's just rude, hence my initial attitude here, but forget it.

I kinda agree with you Kultz. Deathx you should be READING what people say and there issues, There are reasons for theses issues, and you should at least try and fix them. Or even better, why don't you ask Sausage to give you the EOMAP 7 source? It's really stable. 3.0 is to far back, and is most likely the reason for most of our issues.

All Sausage can say is no.

nice release.. but i have to agree with the others my task manager says,


EoMap3

Mem Usage: 57,172K

CPU: 98


and


EoMap2

Mem Usage: 23,804K

CPU: 03


EoMap2 is much better to use and i have to agree with Klutz

Since some people think they know everything lets clarify a bit, first off this isn't any further back then 2.0 this is 2.0 and I'm claiming it as 3.0 in development as you can see multiple releases. Second, these issues you guys are claiming about the cpu & memory usage are in no way due to my additions it's just how the source was and yeah id like to fix it but there's no body whom i have quick contact with that has this issue to deflaw it. If your wanting to help and not be a prick you can add me on msn to try to figure it out, but I'm having no problems out of it and nor are the people who i currently have quick direct contact with.

@ Klutz: look at the first post before making pointless statements, it had stabilty issues. i had the same problem like you have. Yesterday i received  the first compiled version of rev4.. and i am satisfied... gone from 100 CPU usage too 2-5 CPU usage..

everyone has their own opinions of this editor, but let them speak themselves... you got no right to speak for them.. it is fine you aint using this... then don't, miss out extremely usefull gfx space. lose maps from time to time... your own fault.

i am working with this editor for a few days now and I am very happy he released it, as a matter of fact he wasn't planning on releasing it....

If you still have problems with it after rev4 either update your OS or just delete it.. it is pretty obvious he doesn't care about your issues, you are the one telling he made it look like a mess without looking at the source.

can't claim it to be shit while it's still in developing.. means it aint done yet and bugs that occur will be fixed.

custom GFX is harder to cache that's why rev3 was slow... topped to 500k memory on my laptop, now went down to 150k... if the memory is bothering you and your lagging because of that i suggest you virtualise some.

75% is happy with rev3 and 25% isn't.... 25% stick with eomapv2 75% try rev4

when you continue to tell others this thing is a mess he could rather quit developing and just make it private.. and i know when it's done you'll be jealous..

 

take it or leave it... and leave it when you reply to this post with tl;dr

Alright, I'm at my own house now and testing both rev 3 and 4 on my home computer still works just fine.

Revision 4 also runs with 1Mb less memory than r3



Those that wanna hate on exiles work, feel free to, it's clear you don't want to work together for a better mapping software.

Those that want to help do what you can and keep supporting him.


P.S for those that want to compare, my home computer is Win7 Home Premuim 64-bit and my laptop is Vista Home basic.

I put out r4 ahead of time and just disabled resizing and put it off until r5 due to the complications. Hopefully r4 works better then r3 for most!

When using it on my windows 7 pc it wouldn't work until i did some updates then it started working so maybe try updating if any eomap isn't working for you. :)

Heres a copy of my msvcrt.dll just place it with the eomap exe and that should take care of that error.

Try putting the dll in c:\windows\system32\ and press windows key + r to bring up the run dialog and type regsvr32 msvcrt.dll then hit enter to register the dll.
