EOMap Editor 2.0 loads the values wrong from the server. There is 9 graphical layers, so that is a problem. It may be an easy fix, but you still need a way for players to read all the fucked up maps that are made through eomap. Also, it may interfere when you start to load/edit signs.

There's 9 layers in the editor but the specs are saved and loaded appropriately separate from what you are thinking.

I would suggest that you can just click on a tile and be able to cover ur whole map with that tile with only one click. It gets annoying if lets say you need to make a 100x100 hell map and u have to put it all in lava. O.o Please! xD

No there is 9 graphical layers without including the specifications. Just admit eomap screws up :P

It goes: Ground, Objects, Overlay, DownWall, RightWall, Roof, Mask, Top, Shadow

Sooo, what exactly does this mask layer do? :p


@Mackdude:  the 3rd(top) one AND to fill with a tile right click the tile and it'll fill the entire map with it

Took me a couple mins but i get what you mean and i'll see about adding in a mask layer this evening. After doing so we'll see if previously saved maps are going to be a issue :P.

i dont work for me. none of 3 versions. it take too much memory of my system. althought the old map editor works great. on my last try to open map editor 3.0 my pc crashed. forced me to reset. whats wrong?? :(((

oh nvm... i try to comunicate with you with any english i know. maybe i ll try explain it to you better. Hmmm it take too long time to load the gfx files and when he finally do that, then my pc stuck. i cant move my mouse, cant close the editor. i press alt+ctr+delete and i see the usage of cpu is100%. i cant do anything so i reset my pc. hope you understand my problem now. thank you anyway. sorry if i comfused you.

I do belive datoro is saying that the gfx are taking a while to load -like on my laptop- while the old eomap didn't take as long.

i thought it was mylaptop but it appears that it is a generic problem.

Also on top of this it apperas to be taking all of his system recources and crashing his computer.
It can't really that computer intensive if my laptop runs it fine :p

I'm still not sure what i can really do about it except ill check to make sure everything that needs to be disposed is being disposed properly but other then that I'm guessing your lacking efficient memory because it runs fine for me and many others :x.

It blew my mind when i came across it in the code about right clicking a tile in the palette. xD Also I'm glad you enjoy it as much as i do! :) That lil feature happened to save my ass a little while ago.

I was looking forward to testing some of the extra features in here, but sadly eomap3 uses 98% CPU and pretty much freezes my computer, I can see everything fine just it takes around 3 minutes to identify clicking something lol.

This isn't really eomap3, it's eomap2 with some additions. Nothing major from what I can see.


edit: I read some above posts, btw I'm not lacking efficient memory and neither is the other guy. Original map editors run fine. Other than adding a couple of features you seem to have made a rather nasty mess.

I beg to differ about the "you seem to have made a rather nasty mess" due to it working flawlessly for not only myself but several others. I have a 90x140 map open and its not topping 9 cpu usage and i even had FrostFyr open it on his laggy laptop and here's the quote from him

FrostFÿr says:

 is using 3%

Therefore im not sure what the problem is with cpu usage for some people but if you would like to help try to solve it instead of insulting my work that would be great. Otherwise if you rather criticize work you couldn't do yourself then you have no place to even be in this topic. Thanks to those who appreciate the effort given by me :).
