I'm playing around with r7 a bit, and would you believe it, the first map I tried to load produced an error. I can't remember what it said now, something along the lines of "error loading 00001.emf blah blah 219 | ". So I opened it in Rena's old editor and the first thing I changed wasan'eastwall tile' with the ID 255, I changed it to 256 and as if by pure luck it fixed the map to work in r7. I could've been trying to figure that out for ages, well anyway it doesn't like the value 255, at least in the wall tiles anyway. Hope this helps and, maybe can be fixed.


That's because the old graphical map editor doesn't save a few bytes at the end. And rena's editor does. I had a protection for that in my editor, but it seems, that Deathx didn't see that thing.

Yeah the old_eomap stuff is implemented just seems to not work oh so well based on Klutz's experience.

Clarification: The source obtained was apparently a older copy of his source so it probably wasn't proper. I'm discontinuing my progress on this as i have more important things to work on, but do enjoy what i happened to get released for the public.

Thanks for the release, but I have a suggestion. When I huge map like 50x50. I have to fix in the whole map, and I know im lazy, but may you add an option to auto fill the map with like the plain grass. Another thing is, when you go all the way down, it doesn't go all the way down. Could you fix that, because I may need to add that graphic I can't get to. Hope you can do this for me. Thanks.

been messing with the alpha 7, but cant get this editor to work at all just says the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). click on ok to terminate the application,
and to let you know the link to the other dll files dont work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right click on a gfx it will auto fill with that gfx

I have one problem with (Chair Locations) I cannot figure which chair is which because it is not the same can you please re-do that if others have the same problem???

not sure if this happens to everyone, but release 8 for me seems to have problems opening maps sometimes, making new ones and everything else seems to work fine.

and might I suggest getting the ambient sound and music selection to work in the properties?

Your correct casoni happened to me and Im pissed... Heres what happens; First I saved a map like this (Also named the map in the start say Starter Map 21x21 then I saved the file as like 00001.emf and when I go to open it, it says this file is not EMF and Im like WTF???

Also I get this error

(When clicking on NPC tab) Failed to load graphic (Gfx 21, Graphic 1, Npc 1) Help me please???

Yeah mine never opens maps, it just freezes and i have to close it with task manager..

Clearly you didn't extract everything from the Zip because those bmp's are in the gfx folder also the tile specs are in the gfx folder in their own gfx file. Also about all the other mishap about problems...i'll get to it when i get the chance.

When i try to open my map i made using ur 3.0 it wont show...  yea it opens but it get stuck.. so wat i do?
