Admins should not be effected by map based HP and TP drains.

Yes they should. ;p
$hide will disable drain effects. Disabled interaction is to prevent admins from unfairly interfering with the gameplay, not to make them god-mode.
A feature request for a godmode admin flag though, maybe...
